We absolutely love the menu options, beer selection, and outdoor patio. We live close and have frequented Beer Head quite often. There have been a few weekends we have come and enjoyed the live accoustic music. Unfortunatley, on Friday 1/22, whomever was live music playing was so unbelievable loud and the feedback from the guitar was so piercing that those at my own table were unable to have a conversation without yelling. He tried playing Hey Jude and was actually yelling the portions of the song. Yelling is not singing. We indicated to our waitress that the music was way too loud and that the feedback was so drastic that we were really struggling to enjoy ourselves let alone have a conversation. She explained that two other tables made that same comment and she had said something but that no one listened to her. Sad to hear that..as I watched two tables get up and leave due the volume. Then, it was our turn. One beer and a pretzle later, we refrained from ordering any more food or drinks and said to our waitress, we were leaving because of how loud it was. We went to another restaurant for dinner and drinks at this point. Maybe this was a one off, but its unfortunate the volime level cost Beer Head more money from 3 tables during our time there, sorry that this ultimatley can affect the wait staff trying to make money from guests, and really sorry to hear that no one was listening to the wait staff whom were relaying the customers issue. Again, not mad, maybe a one off...but still a very poor experience. One of the folks at our table was a first time person at Beer Head per our reccomendation, and I had to ensure him on our way out that it typically is not like this and had to appologize on behalf of the experience I brought him to. We will be back I am sure, but probably not during the live performances if this is the result during those times. I would love to chat with the owner if he would like to discuss. Again, no foul, just trying to provide feedback. I hate to see one live performer stopping customers bringing business in. My 5 star rating dropped to 4 because of the...
Read moreThe business was closed for a week+ for training. When we went there finally, they only have one bartender, a server, and a cook, and some random guy walking around cleaning the windows. The server was extremely friendly, but upon already deciding dinner, they were out of wings. There was no sign saying it was 86'd anywhere. She only had 5 tables, no one was helping her clean off the tables that left... Again, some random guy was washing windows... And as the reply shows from the business, apparently was a window washer, which is so weird because he was also seen behind the bar, in the kitchen with the cook, and giving advice to the server. Their patio was closed on a beautiful day, 70 degrees and overcast because of short staffing. Look, I get it... Staffing is hard... It doesn't take much to have a better understanding of service. When we asked if we could eat outside she told us we could order a beer and go outside, but the fire wasn't even running and it just felt unwelcoming anyways.
Being bummed about the wings was one thing. Don't get the barbarian pretzel due to the dips being crusty and cold by the time they get to you (who serves hot beer cheese dips in a plastic cup these days). The Nashville sliders were dry and burnt as if they use a ninja foodi to air fry the chicken. No spice, and sweet pickles unlike Nashville dill. Fries weren't fried, again... Baked. The pork belly Mac was awesome, but... Again, beer cheese was cold.
I want to love this place, but overall I was so highly...
Read moreThe restaurant is really cute, the patio is very nice and the pizza is okay; however, everything else about the experience lacked knowledge, leadership and flavor.
I ordered a dirty martini, then was told that the bar did not have the ingredients to make a martini several minutes later. I then asked for Tito's and Soda Water and got a Smirnoff Raspberry and soda water. I asked for it to be remade and overheard the bartender tell our server to leave it rang in as a martini because "they're basically the same thing", except that they're not, especially when it comes to price. When we received the bill I was charged $10 for a standard Tito's and Soda. We asked the server to correct it and she said she would just take 50% off since there is no way for them to correct it. (We never saw anyone in a leadership position or were asked by anyone how our food/drinks were)
The Nashville Hot Chicken Sliders were terrible. The "southern style" chicken is frozen/fried chicken patties, buns cold, and the pimento cheese was cold and had no flavor. The fries that came with the meal weren't cooked through and were cold. I'm not sure what about the meal was "Nashville" style, there was no flavor, let alone kick.
I wanted to check the reviews before I decided to write one as I didn't want an off night to be used against a brand; however, based on the reviews, the food and the service are both...
