Went for the first time to the New Albany location. My 6 friends had never been at all. Jackson, our waiter, who apparently had only been working there for a month did a great job! He was attentive but not overly attentive. He asked if anyone needed drink refills. The orders were placed correctly and came out warm and delicious. Several of us had omelettes which were big enough to serve two and since they come with three pancakes you’d have plenty to split an order with someone or take home leftovers. And the omelette was so full of the add-ons you weren’t left wondering if they forgot an ingredient. One friend had hash-browns as her side and said they were yummy. Another friend had the corn beef hash with potato cakes. He liked it.
They also didn’t rush us to leave. Grateful because the 7 of us needed to catch up. We did wait a little bit as a larger party wanting to eat inside because they won’t seat you until everyone is there. But no biggie, as we knew that before we arrived and it was a Sunday around 11:30.
The only downfall if you can call it that was the young male server we observed (not ours) who had wet hair hanging in his face and kept swinging it back. I did bring this to the manager’s attention as sometimes people have habits they don’t even know they have. But if you require others with long hair to keep it tied back out and off their face, he should be required to do the same. Don’t need flinging of hair near food.
And I applauded Jackson to the manager as well because he did such a good job and managers don’t hear enough good reviews.
Will definitely go back at...
Read moreI was brought the wrong food twice in the same visit and their response was to praise themselves for fixing it!
The New Albany location recently opened and I tried them for the first time. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict and a side of sausage links. I was brought my food 20 minutes later but no sausage. When I told the server it was missing she left to get it and that's when I noticed I received a different Benedict dish. The server took it back and ten minutes later a manager came by to ask how my meal was. I told her what happened and she went to check on it. Five minutes later the correct Eggs Benedict came out and the manager carried a plate of sausage, except it was turkey sausage - again, not what I ordered. It was promptly replaced with the proper pork sausage.
The food was good and the servers and manager were nice. However, I won't be returning. Mistakes happen, I get that, and the first time it can be overlooked. The second time it happens it's, for lack of a better term, incompetence. Someone doesn’t know what they are doing. They need to do something about their processes because a simple order shouldn't be so easy to mess up.
EDIT: I reached out to the company and their response is attached. They didn’t address the problem or how they will fix it. They didn’t offer an apology. They didn’t offer any reason to return or even basic customer service. No, instead they were happy they could fix the problems for me. The problems they caused. Unreal. I’ve reduced them...
Read moreWanted to try brunch here! Upon arriving we got sat within 15 min which was nice but our table was dirty and previous receipts and pens were still on the table. Our server seemed like she was in a rush the entire time. Once we ordered it took forever for our food to come out. Those who got sat after us were getting their food before us… then our server came over to apologize that the receipt paper in the kitchen ran out and they lost our ordered. Food came out 15 min later to then find out my omelet is missing cheese. Our server never came back over to ask how things were tasting. Given the lack of service and how long we waited for food I ended up just picking around the omelet and eating the toppings out of it. The eggs were not great at all. Once we finished what we wanted the server laid the check on the table and asked how everything was. My response was “not great”, cheese was missing and she responded with “oh is your hashbrowns missing” and I said oh was I supposed to get hashbrowns with my order? Then she goes oh yeah never mind….she ended up sending the manager over which then the manager comped the missing cheese in my omelette and took off $2.95. Would’ve thought the entire omelette would have been comped given the lack of service, slowness and cheese that was missing but no. Just wanted to be out of there as quick as possible. Never...
