Arlington square — Local services in Upper Arlington

This outdoor "mall" as it is called on Google maps is OK. I almost want to give it the benefit of the doubt and raise it to 4 stars, but there are a few detractors that will let me keep it at 3 stars.

The parking lot is mediocre at best. Lots of maintenance issues that have been deferred. Entering the lot is easy enough but there are no traffic lights allowing ease of leaving so it is a gamble depending upon the time of day. Senior citizens and extremely impatient drivers compound this situation.

That said, there are several benefits: they have a Starbucks and CVS. They also have a Wendy's and semi-adjacent to the CVS is a McDonald's. If you're there to shop at a clothing store or other outlet then you'll at least have a few options such as those that won't make you ponder whether you'll be gambling your life on a local 1-off...

We made it to shop at American Thrift store. Huge and nicely laid out. A no touch jewelry counter. They will get items out that you want to see. Than your choices go to the counter and wait for you to check out. You get a numbered clothes pin to turn in as you check out to claim the item. It feels like a Marshall's store than a true thrift store. Someone else said this also. It is a nice place. But beware as no returns or refunds like a Marshall's store. Plenty of parking in the lot. Nice size aisles for walking. Stop light...

Going to TJ Maxx at 10:30 is the best. Barely anyone there. However as I was checking out and in line there was only one cashier open. I was the 4th or 5th person in line. More people behind me. When I was next to go finally four more cashiers opened up. I hate to say but on a Sunday they should have been prepared with their cashiers open and ready...
