I had the funniest but somewhat maddening experience tonight. A bit of a read but I promise it's worth it.
I made my order, part of which was the Spicy Chicken Jr. which I asked for the sauce on the side since I had never had it before so I preferred it on the side so I could taste it before saucing the whole burger.
Tonight looked like a crew of three who were all speaking Spanish to each other (not a complaint, just part of the story). We'll call them Cashier Girl (CG), Bagger Lady (BG), and Incredulous Older Man (IOM).
Here is their conversation, which all went down in Spanish (largely paraphrased):
CG: Hey, he wanted the spicy chicken with the sauce on the side. BL: Wait what?? Like in a little bottle? CG: Yes, just not on the burger. BL: I already put it on the burger? Should I re-make it? (Cashier Girl stopped answering at this point). I'm just gonna give it to him. Hey should I remake it? IOL: Are you really gonna give it to him or did he respond? BL: I'm just gonna give it to him (laughter) BL: Hi would you like some onion ring sauce? Me: No thanks! IOL: Did you really just give it to him??? Did he already leave???
When I heard that I stood there for a couple of seconds to allow her to maybe feel some guilt and mention it to me but she didn't so I left.
I should have been mad because it's one thing to make a mistake and not catch it. But to sit there as they recognized their mistake and blatantly choose to ignore it should be maddening to anyone.
However, it just ended up being absolutely hilarious to me for some reason. I'm sure by now it's clear I speak Spanish (I'm Mexican) since I transcribed the scenario. What just cracks me up is that it should have been abundantly clear to them that I am Spanish speaker. I'm brown enough to be "randomly selected" by TSA 50% of the time for a pat down but clearly not brown enough for my people to recognize.

Read moreFirst off I never complain, but I thought this was necessary. The daytime manager or one of them I guess I should say, I don't know her name though but she's is a Hispanic little lady who is very rude. The night before last, I had purchased pies, when I got them home, they were best to describe looking melted even though I know they weren't because they don't have ice cream in them, but that was the appearance of them. Melted and Soggy. The next day I returned with my receipt, to have them replaced, she first off, insinuate I was lying and asked me where the pies were, I explained to her I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old, I couldn't just give them to them and take them back from them, at that point she rolls her eyes despite me being very polite. She opened up a brand new one right in front of me, and said it didn't look like this? I told her no, she purposely and I could tell, tossed it in the trash even though I said "I will take that one" when I realized that she was going to throw it away. I live in a very good upscale neighborhood, it's not like these things happen often here, then she denied my request until I was very adamant and tossed two over the counter at towards me. I thanked her, and she said "yeah okay whatever" and walked away. I was so embarrassed. I will never go back there again. This manager has no business being a manager or in a business that involves her engaging with the...
