AMAZING!
I visited Ohio and stopped by here and I was just in awe. The customer service, the quality of the food, the taste, the cleanliness. Everything was on point. I decided to get a gelato as well and yeah... No joke.
I'd highly advise checking this spot out.
If you go in, the man Mike is dope. He was extremely nice and insightful to everyone I was with. Really charismatic, as well.
100% satisfied with my visit.
Can I share some back story on the guy below... he’s a big reason of why the experience was so amazing and I love to share this story.
His name is Mike. We came in about 15 deep, which can be scary in a place like this with no reservations or whatever and most of the staff sort of walked away from the counter and the ones that stayed you can feel just didn’t expect us to be friendly and loving and fun. Well, Mike came straight up to me, complimented my style, and asked to take my order. One of the ways I like to love people in restaurants, and some people find it crazy because I never know what I get, but I ask them to surprise me with their favorite. I said don’t tell me, just do your thing. Mike got so excited and was confident to throw something special together. And let me just say my food was AMAZING. I had to get up from my first bite and come personally thank him. After we ate, 5 of us wanted something sweet. So I called for Mike and said we need something sweet. Do your thing. Mike went to the back of the counter and got to work. He was taking a bit long and some of us were asking why and I kept encouraging Mikes just making it special. Even some of his coworkers were making fun of him because of how much passion he took in his job. So I kept encouraging him. He turned around and I asked can I take a picture. I mean, look at that guys smile... pure happiness. Mikes the man.
But the story isn’t done. We had a few more days in Ohio. The last day, we went downtown and were walking to a place to get breakfast before we road trip it back to Philly. I feel someone grab me and I turn and it was Mike, accompanied by his brother and his dad. We talked a bit and his brother and dad pulled me away to talk to me. The dad wanted to thank me because they said I changed his sons life. He said “I don’t know what you did, but he came home from work and was different. Brighter. More alive. More confident.” And that right there blessed me so much.
That’s it. Sorry it’s long.
Always love, in small ways, it makes a huge...
Read moreI had a gift certificate from their home office for a free lunch for me and four colleagues as a local business partner. We did the group ordering feature online to help make sure everyone got what they wanted, it was very easy. I wanted to call and confirm our order ahead of time, but the phone kept ringing in circles with their menu. I was frustrated, but knew I was calling at lunch and they were likely very busy.
I couldn't submit the order without payment, so I went to the location to order in person. The parking lot was busy, so I knew when I walked in it would take some time to order. No problem, they're probably short staffed like so many other businesses during the pandemic. I only had to wait maybe 2-3 minutes in line, one person ahead of me and one online order that appeared while I was in line.
I shared that I had the gift certificate and an order for 5 people as I approached the counter - the chef greeting customers was clearly a little caught off guard but was polite and helpful and patient with all five items I requested. They were having a tough time keeping up with the orders rolling in and keeping the items on the front of the line stocked, but I could see at least 10 pick-up orders on the counter near the cashier, so they had been busy a while (I walked in around 12:30, so very understandable).
The staff was very hard working and courteous whenever I made a request or adjustment to the 5 different orders for my office team. Never appearing frustrated, irritated, but very customer service friendly and upbeat despite the line growing behind me. I didn't have much cash on me, but I put a few dollars into their tip bowl.
I always have a good experience here, and will continue to keep coming back. Thank you Piada Team for being upbeat and always providing me a...
Read moreI ordered my food online and went to pick up the food. It said it was ready at 7:45, I got there at 7:50. I waited in the first curbside pickup parking spot and hit the "I'm here" button. No one ever came out. I called and no one ever picked up. I went in and there were seven to eight people standing there and one customer in line. It was not busy. At this time it was 8:06. I asked "why didn't anyone come out to my car?" The reply was "I came out and did not see your car, you must have hit the button before you got to the parking lot." I said "that's not true. I didn't hit the button to say 'I'm here' until I was sitting in the spot. I was in the curbside parking spot." He replied "I didn't see your car." I asked "so the food has been sitting here and is cold? He said "yes, sorry about that, have a nice night." I left pretty upset. I have a medical condition that makes getting in and out of my car very difficult. I ordered curb side pick up because it is helpful to me. Not only was my food cold, but it did not taste good either. The pasta was not fully cooked. I was extremely disappointed. I would have called and lodged a complaint, but even after my 8th call, no one EVER picked up. I typically don't call to complain and I definitely don't leave online reviews . But I felt like this was an experience that the operating manager would want to know about because it is one that will cause the loss of customers. I don't think I will be returning to Piada...
