The staff at the location itself and on the sales team are absolutely amazing, unfortunately they have the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.
About a week ago I purchased a beautiful bedroom set from a wonderful salesman, randy. I scheduled my delivery for the following Tuesday, at 9:00 that Tuesday my furniture makes it! Well, to my surprise the delivery person left the screws for my bed at the store. He calls his manager and then tells me he will be back in a few hours to finish the bed. Unfortunately after 6 hours of waiting and countless calls to the delivery person I hear nothing. I then call the customer service center and speak to a friendly woman named Ashton. I explain my issue to Ashton and she put me on hold to talk to her manager Ashley. Ashton then comes back on the phone and says that she spoke with her manager Ashley and that not only will Ashley be calling me shortly, the delivery person is coming back to fix my bed. After another hour and a half of waiting to hear from Ashley, I decide to call in again. This time another woman answers the phone and I asked to speak with Ashley, turns out Ashley didn't even work on Tuesday...so that was a lie. I then ask to speak to a manager and am now connected with Gina. I explain my issues again and she is very apologetic and assures me that the men will be at my apartment early the next morning before I have to leave for a business trip in the afternoon.
So I spent the night in a hotel since I had no bed and woke up early to get back to my apartment. Well, 11 o'clock roles around and there has been no call from the men who are fixing my bed. I call in again and am now speaking to Cynthia. Not only was she absolutely so rude, she told me she would not be able to connect me with a manager for 24 hours. She didn't care whatsoever about my situation and actually cut me off the phone.
I then call the sales manager of the location of where I bought my furniture and explain my situation and he gets a manager of customer service in contact with me. Turns out my furniture won't be there until 4:30 or 5 pm. So I had to cancel my business trip.
I thought the disaster was over until I receive a call from the man who is putting together my bed and customer service had sent him to the wrong address!!
I was going to purchase the rest of my furniture from this store and now I have decided to never come back. I've never complained about a store or felt passionate enough to write a review for a store but I want to save someone from the...
Read moreI recently purchased a reclining sofa set from Value City Furniture (VCF), and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Unfortunately, the issues I've encountered with their product and customer service have left me thoroughly dissatisfied.
Upon the initial delivery, one of the sofas was defective, and after refusing the delivery, VCF assured me that a replacement would be promptly sent. To my dismay, the replacement sofa was also faulty. This frustrating cycle repeated three times, each time with the same disappointing outcome.
Seeking a resolution, I visited the store in person to discuss the ongoing problem with the manager. However, I was met with further frustration as the manager admitted that they would continue delivering replacements until one finally worked. This lack of commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is unacceptable.
Despite the fact that I am not refusing the order due to personal preference but rather the product's consistent malfunction, VCF has refused to take back the order without charging a restocking fee. This policy, especially in the face of repeated defects, is unreasonable and unfair to the customer.
I am deeply disappointed in Value City Furniture's handling of this situation. I purchased a fully functional sofa set, and what I received was a series of defective products and a complete lack of accountability from the company. As a customer, I expected better service and a more satisfactory resolution to the issues I've faced.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against purchasing furniture from Value City Furniture. The quality of their products and their customer service leave much to be desired. I hope that by sharing my experience, others can make informed decisions and avoid the frustration and disappointment I have...
Read moreI’m only giving two stars versus one because I don’t want to fault the sales people. We purchased a large white leather sectional from VCF. Unbeknownst to me it was during a period when they had a supplier issue which resulted in customers being left with a product that suffers from severe cracking and peeling even very early in life cycle. At the time of purchase we were surprised that the sectional was selling for such a great price but we were told it was because the color was slightly off (a hint of cream versus white). Long story short, at one year the sectional start cracking, peeling, and shedding thin leather pieces and the dust that’s underneath where it bonds to the couch. I called the store and was told that because the piece was purchased on sale we were out of luck. Eventually out of real disappointment, frustration, and hopelessness (because who wants to purchase a new sectional $$$ after such a short period) I wrote in to the Customer Service Department. They were kind and helpful but even after escalating I was told the only thing they could offer me was $300 off my next purchase because the sectional was on sale when we bought it.
My kids have been sitting in dust and my toddler has been putting the leather shedding in his mouth regardless of how much a sweep and collect the waste. Year after year the section is rotting. It’s an embarrassment. I only invite family to the house because they’ll understand right? Nope! I’ve been asked on too many occasions when I will put the sectional on the curb. I’ve included a couple photos where you can see the progression that continues on strong.
We also have a dining table from VCF and the paint has peeled in a similar manner so as you imagine I’m left believing that their quality is less than...
