It's overdue for Columbus to get a dedicated Vietnamese banh mi/bakery shop and I am so excited for this place! I won't comment on other existing places that serve banh mi, but Paris Banh Mi brings the authentic experience to Columbus with quality food in a clean and fresh environment.
Let me get straight to the food: the banh mi is SPOT ON! The ingredients are fresh and delicious and the bread is baked on site. It's served on a foot-long french baguette with the right amount of crisp in the crust and not too much dough in the bread which sometimes takes away from the flavor of the sandwich. No matter what sandwich you choose, the portions are more than generous and every bite has all the right mix of pate, vegetables, and protein!
Along with the banh mi, this place serves excellent boba tea as well with a great selection of flavors and toppings. And I especially like how customized you can make your drink to your liking.
Don't sleep on the pastries and bakeries while you're there. Try the traditional Vietnamese Pate So which is a take on a french meat puff pastry (pâté chaud). So good!
Note: the location is tucked on the south-west corner of Martin Rd and Sawmill Pkwy with no direct drive access from the main road. It's hard to see since their sign isn't up yet, but the best way to enter is via Martin Rd (entrance...
Read moreAbsolutely everything we’ve tried here has been excellent. The B3 Banh Mi is my must-order every single visit—an absolute standout. The spring rolls are always fresh, with the perfect soft-but-chewy texture and generously sized portions. The pork banh bao delivers exactly what you’d hope for: sweet, savory meat tucked into a pillowy bun.
The crispy tofu is a simple but satisfying favorite, especially with the flavorful soy dipping sauce. Shrimp dumplings are light, fluffy, and bouncy, while the crab rangoon, crispy shrimp, fried eggrolls, and fried dumplings are consistently served hot, crispy, and paired with great sauces. A recent discovery for me was the Pateso—flaky, light pastry with juicy, flavorful filling that was delicious even at room temperature.
And the pho? Absolutely. One of the most flavorful broths I’ve had in Columbus, loaded with fresh veggies. I still need to come back for the stone bowl experience, which I can only imagine makes it even better.
We love that there’s always something new to try, and my family never hesitates to branch out here. You can’t go wrong with the teas either—whether classic tapioca pearls or the juicy popping boba, everything is fresh...
Read moreWe ordered the signature pho, bahn mi, And drink combo, which was perfect for two people. We got the special pho (pho dac biet), Special bahn mi (Dac Biet), and midnight in Paris.
For the pho: the broth was average. Tasted like most other phos; where it was still good. Slightly on the sweet side. With all the noodles and toppings, it was an average pho. Nothing special about it. But was still good.
For the bahn mi: good bahn mi. The baguette lacked the gold brown color and was not toasted. Individual sandwich ingredients were good. Also, nothing special, above average, but not the best place in Columbus.
For the drink: the drink menu didn’t have a description of what the speciality drinks were so I just picked the first one. Paris by Night just tasted like milk and brown sugar. The boba was soft on the outside, but turned hard on the inside. They use the slushy ice instead of cubes which I enjoyed. I have very high standards of boba type drinks, but I’m not going to judge this one since I don’t think I can compare it to other places as I’ve never had just milk and brown sugar at other places. But I won’t be ordering it again.
Service was nice and fast....
