Cluckadoodledoo — Restaurant in Columbus

You can tell this is a local startup trying to fill a niche, but it’s not fully there yet.

When I picked up my food, the cashier (maybe the owner?) was kind and offered me a free water bottle which was super nice.

Pick up was ready on time, everything was packaged nicely, and I was given extra dipping sauces from what I ordered.

The place looks sketchy, but you know, sometimes the sketchiest places have the best food.

That’s the end of my nice remarks tho, as when I started to eat my food I could tell that something was off.

Everything gave “purchased the cheapest options from GFS’s frozen food section in bulk.”

The only thing I liked was the Mac and cheese bites, but they tasted like Kraft Mac and cheese. The Hawaiian sandwich was a good concept, but the chicken was overcooked and very poor quality, and my boneless wings were breaded rocks that had a mild amount of honey bbq.

It would be one thing if I paid $15 and this was the food quality, but for $40 I do and will expect something...

It was exactly terrible, but it wasn't great either. We ordered here after leaving the Shrek Rave since the Music Hall no longer offers food. We live 2 hours away so won't be coming back any time soon. I ordered the honey mustard chicken sandwich. I believe the patty was a precooked frozen patty, as it was too crispy, dry, and slightly overcooked. I should have asked for extra honey mustard. But the sandwich is definitely a decent size for the price. My fiancee ordered a burger. His only issue is that it was on the dry side as well. When picking up the food, I stayed in the car while he went inside. I asked what the service was like and he said "off putting". Otherwise it seems alright. Maybe it would be different if it wasn't a busy Saturday night, but they seemed steady rather than busy...

Cluck-a-doodle-doo is a fantastic establishment. The customer service is fantastic and so is the food. The man behind the counter always greets you with a smile and is always happy to make recommendations. I come here weekly and never have I been disappointed. Many places I go late at night get my order wrong or miss parts of what I say. However, this has never once happened here. I have recommended this place to my closest family and friends and none of them have been disappointed either. I have worked in food service for 5 years and I can honestly tell you this place is superb. If I could give Cluck-a-doodle-doo a 6th...
