Dewey's Pizza - Grandview — Restaurant in Columbus

I ate a very pleasant "late lunch" [or "early supper"] yesterday [9-29-2022] at Dewey's Pizza at 1327 W. Fifth Ave. in the "Fifth by Northwest" neighborhood of Columbus.

Several years ago, Buckeye Sports Bulletin, a newspaper for which I used to work but from which I have now retired [their offices are across the street at 1350 W. Fifth Ave.] held a special event [I now forget the reason for that event] at Dewey's Pizza.

I had been wanting to return to Dewey's Pizza ever since that many-years-ago "Buckeye Sports Bulletin" event but had not been able to do so until yesterday.

My food choice for yesterday had been a "Green Lantern" pizza [red sauce, mozzarella, minced garlic, mushrooms, goat cheese, artichokes, and pesto]. It had been great to be able to study the Dewey's Pizza menu -- several times -- in advance of my visit and to have made my choice before I had walked in the door.

I had been undecided between an 11" pizza and a 12" pizza but learned from my server that their 12" pizzas are gluten-free so I ordered an 11" pizza since I do not need gluten-free.

My "Green Lantern" pizza had been delicious [even the following day after the leftover pieces had been reheated in a microwave oven]; I particularly appreciated the very soft crust [that had been softer than typical pizza crusts] and also had been "risen" more than usual near the outside edge of the pizza.

If you are looking for some delicious out-of-the-ordinary pizza [they have many different completely-unique "Specialty Pizzas" from which to choose], I strongly recommend...

Freshly baked and delicious pizza! I am so sad that I had to work so the pizza was cooled down.

I made it up at the second visit and found the best sweet pizza that I have ever had. I have never tried sweet pizza. But this porky fig pizza amazed me with a perfectly natural sweetness and combination of pepper and sausage. I do appreciate it that my waitress recommended this amazing pizza. In addition, half and half pizza is available. I also ordered the Ryan’s inferno. It tasted great with decent celeries and buffalo chicken, but Porky Fig tasted much better than this. Additionally, their pizza makers or cooks are really friendly. If you stop by their big screen of kitchen, they are willing to show something interesting for you during...

We visit Dewey's Pizza as often as we can and recently enjoyed dinner there for our anniversary. The pizza is fresh and fantastic, and as pizza fanatics we can confidently say that it is some of the best we've tried! They are always very accommodating to make our pizza "half and half" with the toppings extra separated- I am a vegetarian and the pizza chefs keep the meat far away from my veg side. I really appreciate this extra consideration on their part. While their pizza is phenomenal, the salads are truly worth obsessing over. All the types we have tried have been awesome, and if I lived closer to a Dewey's I could easily see myself stopping by to get a salad carry-out for lunch. You won't regret...
