Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Columbus

I love Jersey Mike's.

My discover of Jersey Mike's in 2006 made Subway dead to me. I love the #56 cheese steak, giant, on wheat, and I order it with extra meat and veg. This sandwich is in my top 5 comfort foods. I brought my wife this sandwich to eat after she delivered my son and had been fasting for many hours.

I also enjoy the #9 club supreme a great deal and I have them add a good thick layer of their house cherry pepper relish, it is excellent.

They also stock Aunt Vickie's kettle cooked chips which are better than Lays or Ruffles with no contest.

So I love Jersey Mike's and I've been to almost every location in Columbus, some of them many times. But this particular location by Henderson road has always been my favorite. When I started going there it was under new management and the couple who owned it were the most frequent employees in the store, they really cared to do the best possible job. The cookies at this location were amazing, there was regularly soup of the day and macaroni and cheese available. I loved it.

I haven't been to this location in many years now and I don't know anything about current management, but I do still routinely visit Jersey Mike's all over town and this chain is a staple in my regular...

We've been coming here for years and have never had any issues. Our visit today was a bit irritating. We told the guy which subs we wanted and that we wanted them hot. He cut all of the meat and then told us there would be about a 20-minute wait just to get them hot because the grill was backed up. It would have been nice to know that up front.

No, a 20-minute wait isn't going to kill us. And no, it wasn't actually 20 minutes; it was closer to 15. It's just common courtesy to let people know stuff like this up front.

I'll start by saying that my wife, son, and myself were all wearing masks. Regardless of vaccination status or whatever else, we don't see a reason to not just wear them when we are out. It does no harm to us and helps avoid issues. 2 of the workers were very aggressive when it came to enforcing the face mask policy when several different people walked in without them. Over the last 2 years, I've hardly ever seen businesses enforce masks, so that was different.

I will say the remodeled decore looks way better than...

I was just in there. Before I even order my food, a pink haired woman says “idk, but I’m ready to go home..this is the second time this week I’ve been screwed over”. Ok… I order my food. She starts carrying on, talking to the other employees (more like at them) about how someone put in their two weeks, but she didn’t think they were gonna make it until the end. And how this person was quitting because “they don’t like how I run this place. It’s not like how it used to be, when so and so ran it”. She then seemed confused about an order and started barking at the kids working in there. If I was uncomfortable standing there, I can’t imagine what it’s like working there. This woman shouldn’t be managing people or a store. I just want to get my food. I don’t want to hear about all the employee drama or listen to her complain about how she wants to go home. And i think I speak for the people eating in there too. Who wants to go out to lunch Abel often to that...
