I recently visited Joe's Pub & Grille, also known as Average Joe's, in New Albany, Ohio. From the outside, it seemed like a typical sports bar and grill. However, my experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the ambiance was confusing, to say the least. The loud, obscure hip hop music playing made it difficult to grasp that I was in a sports bar (i.e., That Mexican OT, Doja Cat, etc.). It seemed like they were trying to cater to a different crowd, which didn't align with the local demographic. Maybe why they had six customers on a Thursday night. On top of that, the lack of craft beer options was disappointing for a place that bills itself as a pub. The beer selection was limited to domestic and generic options. I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Salad, which came smothered in sauce and had an excessive amount of sauce on the side. The portion was enormous, enough for two or three people, which was not what I expected from a salad. Overall, if Joe's Pub & Grille wants to succeed as a sports bar and grille in New Albany, they need to rethink their approach. It feels like they are trying to appeal to a different crowd with their music and lack of craft beer. It was a disappointing experience, and I hope they consider making some changes to better align with the local demographic. Perhaps Robert Irvine and the Restaurant Impossible team can help them find themselves.

I wish I could be here for Buckeye games. It was weird that there was only one server during Saturday lunchtime. Even though there was no Buckeye game, one server could not handle everything. I understand that she did her best to make everyone happy. But the truth was that the service was terribly slow. There were many screens and sport collections. The vibe might be great. WiFi was fast. There were daily specials and happy hours. Speaking of the food, their burger was freshly fried and tasted not bad, but it was too oily for me. The bun was not soft. The mushroom made the burger taste better. The crispy fries tasted excellent with unlimited ketchup.

I've been to this location twice, both times Paige was very, very rude. We were seated at a dirty table and was told someone would come clean the table. We waited almost 20 min. It was TERRIBLE!!!!!!!! When the manager Bo spoke with her, she was rude to him too. We were gong to leave but didn't want to miss the Cavs game. I'm definitely going to contact the general manager about our experience. Below is a picture of the table we were seated and Paige never came to clean the table. As I read the previous reviews she was probably their waitress too.

I was really disappointed in this place. We got there at 12:00 AM last Saturday. We were in town for a friend's 21st birthday so it was a special occasion. When we got there (there were 10 in our party) there were about 15-20 people already in the bar. We checked to make sure they were not closing early due to the time change before we decided to sit down. They said that they were not closing early unless they were really slow and that we could stay. We decided to order two appetizers, we were waiting for two other people to arrive in our party. We ordered drinks as well. The server was being very short with us and did not want to return to our table to give us menus. We had to ask her if we could get some and she returned and only handed us one menu for our party of 10. We apologized and said that we would only order two appetizers and she acted as if this were fine. We quickly placed our order and then our other two party joiners came in the bar. The birthday girl wanted to order a drink and an appetizer as well and the server never came back to the table. She ended up going to the bar to place her drink order, during this time the server dropped off our appetizers and asked if we would be needing anything else and we said no. The birthday girl came back and the server finally came to the table around 12:45 (the kitchen was closing at 1) and the birthday girl asked to order an appetizer. We were told by the server only then that the had already done last call for the kitchen and that she could no longer put in food orders. We did not hear anyone call for a last call so this was strange. The server then dropped off our bills and they were wrong already because half of our party had went to the bar (they had stopped depending on the server) and ordered more drinks. We ended up staying until the bar closed at 2 (which is when they originally said they would close as long as they were not busy) We ordered two rounds of shots, food, multiple drinks, providing the business with a lot of money. I think I am the only one that tipped the server because I understand what it is like to have a bad night but it was really disappointing to end our night this way. Maybe just realize that you cannot treat guests like this if you still have two hours left until you close and there are 30+...
