Never again! Online FAMILY-SIZED order/delivery. Called to ask them to include sauces. The employee on the phone told me to "Ask the driver who's picking up your order."
I advised the employee the order was placed online through my Panda Express ACCOUNT. Order arrived with enough packaged condiments to last for 3 months! This was the result of an angry incompetent employee who should not be working with people and should not be trusted around food.
Our food was literally undercooked and SWIMMING in too much sauce. I wrote to Corporate. Crickets. It is my opinion this location and the location in Whitehall should BE SHUT DOWN.
In fact, Panda Express needs to go out of business or revamp, reinvent the high quality of food and personable, well-trained customer service agents they presented with the launch of the business.
The business we have today in no way resembles Panda Express we knew. The company has fallen down and landed in the sewer. Prices are (as expected) a bit high due to inflation. When Covid-19 hit portion sizes were [ immediately ] noticeably smaller.
Not going back. Don't want freebies, don't want or need to be contacted by corporate.
Our recommendation? Don't take a chance your food could make you ill. No guarantee food is handled, prepared and presented up to expectations.
BTW: We observed filthy tables and workers without masks or gloves. They do not greet the customer upon arrival. They do not look at the customer when taking an order.
And, most important-- sanitary safeguards and safe handling do not exist at either. Columbus locations. They're both unsafe and shabby. Hostile environment with angry "don't care" employees.
Avoid at all costs!
Panda Express needs to fold up its tent...
Read moreI ate a delicious "early supper" on 8-13-2023 at Panda Express Chinese Kitchen at 2044 N. High St. in the "University District" neighborhood of Columbus.
My plan for that day had been to eat of one of two Asian restaurants near the intersection of Woodruff Ave. and N. High St. and then to attend a concert several blocks away at University Baptist Church.
When arriving at the intersection of Woodruff Ave. and N. High St., I learned that the other Asian restaurant had gone out or business so my only option for Asian food within walking distance of the concert of which I had been aware had been Panda Express Chinese Kitchen.
I briefly studied the menu behind the counter and then ordered a "bowl" with "Chow Mein and Beijing Beef." My food order had been ready within a few minutes so I had been able to arrive at my concert well before the scheduled "start time."
The atmosphere at Panda Express Chinese Kitchen had been great; my food had been delicious; the staff had been friendly and helpful.
If you are in the "University District" neighborhood of Columbus and you are looking for some delicious Asian food, I recommend Panda Express...
Read moreTo be fair, I've visited only once. About a week ago, as I was headed home, I decided to try this place, because one of my co-workers mentioned he had bought his lunch from here.
It took a couple of minutes for me to figure out the "plate" concept, and that items on one side cost extra, while the items on the other side come with the plate or bowl at no extra cost.
Anyway, I got the pepper chicken and some type of beef dish, along with fried rice and an eggroll. The first couple of bites were pretty good, because I was starving. But after my hunger was satisfied and I kept eating, I wished I had gotten my usual Chipotle or Bibibop instead. It wasn't bad, just underwhelming. Taste-wise, I would put Panda Express a step above Mark Pi's, but rate it significantly lower than Yaus or the No. 1 Chinese restaurant that used to be where Poke Bros is now located.
I don't know if I want to give this place another chance. Maybe if I were REALLY hungry and someone else was paying, I'd try it again. But for now, as far as I know, when I'm on campus, and I feel like Chinese, I'm...
