It's fun for the kids on a hot day, buy they have people watching who aren't consistent about the rules. I've gone before and me and the kids play tag, this last time I went the supervisor kept telling my 2 and 3 year old they could not run, not even trot the way babies do. They didn't understand because they were changing the rules, it was never an issue before. The guard made me sit them down cuz they were playing the same way they always did. It's not very fun when your running behind your kids telling them not to run every 2 seconds, they already had the habit from being there before and no one said anything. People with kids understand what I mean. I understand it's a safety issue but they weren't sprinting, I would never let them sprint and hurt each other. Common sense needs to be used in these matters, they jog from one spray to the next, just to have fun, little kids don't even realize their little feet just move fast. It was overly enforced, or not enforced at all. Then they leave the door open to a storage area, right to the left there is a 30 foot drop, no sings, a kid could easily go in and fall to their death, I asked them to close it, they said they couldn't, the next time I asked and they closed it but just cracked it open. So kids can go in and fall to their death, but kids can't jog? I left and if it happens again with the people supervising I won't be going back...
Read moreBlackburn is a historical park located in the East Side district off of E. Main St. in Columbus, OH. It's a well-rounded park for both adults and children, with a basketball court and rec center. They even have a summer season water park open to the public for small children and parents looking to cool off. With it's position in the community, Blackburn Park offers after school programs and a fully equiped gym, as well as a boxing training facility(Which has produced plenty of champions in Golden Gloves and beyond). And the rec center also has a summer camp program for parents wanting to keep their children active and healthy for the summer. As of this year, 2020, I'm unsure of their current state as a rec center, but I'm certain in a few short months, they'll reopen Blackburn for the public to...

There are basketball courts, pickleball courts, and tennis courts. On the Bryden Rd side there are a few paths that form a square, and there is a play area for children. Also, it’s an open space where events have taken place. Nearby and limited parking for no fee. Our four-legged friends...
