I had him repair 5+ watches, repair a pair of earrings, re-dip my white gold engagement ring & a white gold pendant, place an opal in a new setting, & custom make me a ring. Long story short - I had 18 diamonds (10 of one size & 8 of another) that were given to me in 2 settings I would not wear. They were diamonds my father had given my mother, so they were incredibly precious to me. Also, I wanted them all in 1 beautiful ring to wear. Jimbo was exceptionally patient with me as we worked on a design I loved. Then he had a wax made for me to wear to ensure I loved it. Finally I handed my diamonds off to him to have my custom ring made. There were a few hiccups along the way - NONE OF WHICH WERE JIMBO’S FAULT. Still he remained vigilant, patient, & communicative throughout the entire process - all while being enormously appreciative of me putting my faith in him to produce a perfect ring for me. He did not fail to meet any of my expectations. I could not give him a higher recommendation to do business with for all your jewelry needs. The quality of the work is incredible & honestly (in my opinion) he undercharges for all the work he puts in. Hands down the absolute BEST jeweler in town! What started this journey was a beautiful diamond cross my son had bought for me a couple of years ago for Christmas. Unfortunately it had a teeny tiny, too delicate for me chain on it, so I wouldn’t wear it because I just knew I’d break it and lose the cross. So fast forward 2 years and we went back to Hometown Jewelers to ask about replacing the chain with a beefier chain that I would feel more comfortable with and Jimbo suggested a box chain. His knowledge and customer service were beyond exemplary and that’s how he became ‘our’ jeweler. We have since purchased several more items and we are always amazed at how helpful he is, even when there are difficulties through not fault of his own, he communicates every step of the way and allays any fears. I couldn’t imagine using any other jeweler in Columbus and I’m sure he’ll be getting more of our business...

Came here after another place in town wasn’t communicating well. We found home town based on these google reviews and decided to give it a go. Jimbo is awesome he owns, operates and runs the store and gives you the best customer service as if you are his only customer. He custom made my engagement ring, wedding band and then my husbands wedding band. After a design and budget meeting, he ordered the diamond and emailed over 3D images of the ring designs. There is a wax impression of the ring too, I was able to wear it take it home and ensure I physically loved it. Building from scratch 100% custom within 3 weeks. Best experience we have had with a jeweler! He also educates you, does repairs and is honest, emails and calls you back.. which you don’t get a lot of anymore. Any jewelry needs Jimbo is great...
