Myself and 3 others arrived at 6pm to a nearly EMPTY restaurant, but FULL parking lot. Apparently people use The Office parking lot as overflow for El Vaquero (which should have been a clue for us). The hostess tells us that they are expecting several big parties and our wait would be an estimated 30 min. At first we thought she was joking, but when we realized she was serious, we figured 30 min was reasonable for no reservations on a Friday night (even considering the place was nearly EMPTY). After about 30 min, she said our table (amongst many empty tables) was ready. As we began to sit down, we were told she made a mistake and the table was for one of the reserved parties. We patiently went back to waiting. That's when Bub (or Bud...can't remember) comes over and explains the mix up. It's only then we realize that we have now been waiting in a near empty restaurant since 6pm for parties that weren't due to arrive until 7pm! Bub (or Bud) explains that the reason for this is that their kitchen is so understaffed that he doubted that he could have sat us at 6 and had our food out in time for the 7pm parties. Wow š³. At a little after 7 (we have been waiting an hour by now in a nearly empty restaurant) the parties finally start arriving. At about 715, we finally give up. I go to pay the bar tab and a waitress tells us our table is ready. I explain to her that since Bub had explained earlier how understaffed his kitchen was, I didn't see how they could possibly feed us after serving the big parties that had just arrived. It's then that "Bub" jumps in denies he ever said that and then goes on to blame the female manager (Melanie?) whom we had never even spoken too, for our entire ordeal. Life is to short to deal with this joke of a staff. What started out as a nice Holiday dinner with friends, turned into a nightmare. Bub and the staff of The Office ruined a very, very rare night off for the people in our party. I wouldn't recommend this place to my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLaid back vibe, the young man that served me was very polite and kind. He made my drink, took my order, and acknowledged my presence. His name was ShaQuan. I totally forgot to order all flats, and ask if they could do all flats. The young man was very polite, and asked the manager could the kitchen complete the task. The manager and the young man was standing beside me, and I heard him ask her, and she was rude, and was like thatās a no go, and do you want me to tell her, because I will. He didnāt even get a chance to answer. She walked up to me, and stated, ā you didnāt say that when you first ordered, and we donāt do all flats anyways, either way, you have to pay. It can get discounted, but thatās all i can do.ā I stated, I had no problem paying for my meal. Money not a problem, and me and some friends was coming back later. You serious canāt accommodate it? She said, āsure, but you will have to pay for more wings.ā I ordered two drinks as well. Perfectly made, thanks ShaQuan. I just donāt appreciate the way she delivered it to me. It Was very unprofessional of her. ShaQuan apologized to me, and stated the reason they donāt do Commendations. I informed him, I appreciate him stating it in a professional manner, and his manager was seriously rude. Sarah, was her name. I work in customer service, so i truly appreciated the kindness, and respect this young man showed. After speaking to her, she laughed, and i ate three flats from a 12 piece order, and tipped the young man 10, on a 29 dollar meal. All she had to do was change how she delivered the message. She talked to everyone in the bar, but me after that. Awesome manager right! The manager should be the young man. She then closed the bar at 9, and it donāt close until 12. Wow!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had my second visit to The Office tonight...The first time I went was a high stress situation, and it took away from the experience, at no fault of the restaurant, so I decided to give y'all a second try. Tonight I brought my husband, and my bichon, Jasper. My bichon is most definitely a spoiled rotten angel, but he behaves really well... So, sometimes he goes to dinner with us, like tonight. Jasper and I shared grouper, resotto and mushrooms, and broccoli and cheese soup. I originally ordered chicken and wild rice, but when broccoli and cheese was served, I dove in. We also had grouper nuggets and arnold palmer. Every single thing I ate hit the spot! My husband enjoyed his ,also... Though he could not eat all his, He enjoyed what he could... He had the Italian Burger, sweet potato fries, and an arnold-palmer. His portions were too much and he didn't like ketchup on his sweet potato fries, so I suggested lay-off the ketchup, and it was awesome, from that point forward! Our server, Shane was prompt, and polite, respectful, efficient, and honest. When I asked Shane what food were top choices, I was given suggestions that helped me in my decision process. Additionally, my dog seemed very welcomed, which can often be difficult to accommodate. Jasper says, 5 stars for Shane,. We all had a great experience!Thank you, Shane! See you next time!!!!
