IHOP — Restaurant in Columbus

I was really shocked. First, I was told it was going to be 10 minutes for just myself. Tons of tables open. Second finally get seated. The girl ask me what I'd like to drink. I tell her a Pepsi. Immediately I get that Pepsi. I did not realize she was not my waitress. I wait a good 10 minutes before my waitress comes. Grant it they were busy. I give her my order. I ask for crisp bacon. When my food finally comes, my bacon isn't crispy its burnt. As a waitress she should have asked me if I was okay with the bacon. But nope. Then she brings me my bill and I said this bacon is nasty. She ask if I'd like 2 new slices. Yes I said. Thinking why wouldn't I. I'm paying for it right? So I proceed to lay on my table on top of the check $20.30 my bill was $12.30. She comes by picks up the cash puts it in her apron, as she is walking away my check (bill) falls on the ground. She eventually comes back my way, I'm thinking she is bringing my change. Nope she picks up the check lays it on the table and says I'm your cashier when you are ready. I said ma'am I put cash on the table and you picked it up. When you did the check fell on the floor. She said no I didn't pick up any money. I said yes you did. She said we have cameras I will take a look. I said great. Wait and wait for her to finally say she was waiting on the manager. The manager comes out and says she is on the phone waiting for someone to check the camera. Few minutes later waitress comes back to my table says she doesn't have time for all this and lays $7 on the table. Last time I checked $20 - $12 was $8. I was so baffled that this woman thought she was seriously going to get me to pay again. I am not a mean person so I did leave a tip. Trust me I will never go to this IHOP again, let alone pay cash. Worse experience in my life. I just hope and pray when the manager looks at the tape they see...

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I graduated basic training yesterday and while my wife and parents were exploring we decided to get IHOP. We love it back home. We did not love this one at all. The waitress was only worried about her large party, while I was paying I even heard her complaining because someone else got a big party before her. On top of that we sat and waited for 20 minutes before ever being greeted by our waitress because once again she was only worried about pleasing her large party. When we ordered my mother food came out completely wrong, sent it back and they just reused the food from the wrong plate. My father and wife both got burgers that had buns that were as hard as rocks, my fathers burger was wrong. We never got asked about refills on drinks till we were getting up to leave. My mother asked for a box 3 times and never got one she ended up carrying her plate to another waitress and asking for a box. This ihop was absolutely ridiculous and when we asked the manager to take something off the bill for it being wrong they did not. $50 for horrible food and service. We will not being...

I visited the IHOP, albeit the evening hours, but it was only 9pm when I arrived and there were only 3 couples in the restaurant at the time. Two women were seated immediately before me and a couple were seated about 15 minutes after me. The women received their drinks and food before I even received a glass of water and I had to go and ask for the water, even though the seated couple had their drinks immediately after they ordered. My food already arrived and before I could ask the waitress, who dropped off my food and said she would be right back (I assumed with my water and milkshake), I ended up having to find the manager to ask for my drinks. Paying $21 for a hamburger, fries, and a milkshake, you would assume I would receive a full serving of fries with my meal, but it looked as if half had already been eaten when it arrived. I do not believe it is the restaurant, per se, but the waitress was definitely having issues. Maybe they’ve overworked her and short-staffed her, unsure.
