If we could apply 0 stars, this would be best represented in this situation. When we came to this place, we had high hopes. It should have been a telltale sign when the entrance had 50% off for dine in only. We overlooked that and continued in, we place an order totaling $72.31 and had to throw it all away.
Our son’s chicken wings were raw and bleeding. The sushi was a 0/10, the amount of sauce masked the lack of freshness and his fishiness. The fried rice lacked flavor and was saturated with oil. I called the restaurant about the order and was offered a store credit. We live 4 hrs away. Even with a store credit, that was less than 20% of our total order. I would not be comfortable feeding that to anyone in my family. We love Thai food and are a culturally rich family. This was one of the worst culinary experiences we have had.
Since placing the order we have had to spend additional money for a hotel because we are all having food related illness and unable to get home as intended.
At the end of day, take full accountability, the owner and the kitchen lack that.
In regards to the response. An in store credit will do what for someone who lives over four hours away. It took you well over some time to respond and it’s cute. If you are listing your menu at 50% off what is that saying about your business? Why would I want to subject my family to raw chicken twice? Your hostess is the only good thing you have going for your establishment. The rice was greasy, the chicken was raw, the sushi was foul. It all went in the garbage and we all did have food poisoning. Shame on us for not taking photos but at that point it wasn’t even worth the effort. I usually don’t go back and forth with idiots all your recent reviews are telling....
Read moreThe waitress we had was friendly and conversational, but the food has left me with the most severe case of food poisoning. I’m not sure if it was the sushi or the chicken I had, and in hindsight there seemed something up with the sushi, but I am beyond miserable. I have an irrational fear of doctors but I’m planning on going to hospital/ urgent care soon. Stay far, FAR away, they clearly don’t upkeep to cleanliness and standard- which makes it even more concerning given the currant global issue. I have a tough stomach, never sick/ nauseous (I’ve tried some weird food from various places too), and Lemongrass has genuinely made me worryingly sick. I never post reviews unless something significance happens, but, please, avoid this place at all costs.
Edit: We ate at around 6pm on Wednesday the 24th. I am fully aware what food poisoning is(in response to the owner) and know that it took time, otherwise I wouldn’t have pointed the finger to Lemongrass. But to respond by assuming rather than asking or taking this seriously, is just ridiculous to me. I felt fine that evening, slightly ill later in the day Thursday, and then violently sick from late last night to now. Again, please stay away from this place. And the casual dismissal of their food getting their customers sick is concerning enough...
Read moreI used to love this place! My family and I would order about once a month. The food was amazing. My husband and I visited the restaurant last week for dine in. His salmon was half cooked and the waiter refused to refund. She did however refund me for the sesame chicken that I ordered because it was not fresh and tasted nothing like sesame chicken. She blamed the errors on the cook being new and made the statement “everyone makes mistakes” that’s extremely rude to say to someone after you’ve served them half cooked food! Not to mention by husband ended up with food poisoning the next day. Portion sizes for the chicken and shrimp hamachi were small also. I don’t know what’s changed with this place but it’s not been for the better, no wonder the restaurant is always empty. We will continue eating at the Lemongrass...
