How have I never heard of this place?? What is this place??? So much here to write about.
First, let’s talk about the menu. The Le Touchdown is a perfect description of this place. It’s a cross between French cuisine with a Cleveland deli influence…….potentially inspired by Le Bron??
Once I wrapped my mind around the menu I decided to just give it to the expert - Frenchi. He gave me the number 3: the Le Tour Eiffel. Corned beef pastrami and roast beef. I wouldn’t have chosen it but I’m so glad he did. It was delicious. The sauce was a perfect compliment to the tasty pastrami and corned beef and the condiments added were super tasty.
I loved the sandwich and Frenchi. This guy is special - he is passionate about food and super innovative. Who would think of doing a French deli? He talked about his life altering experience of having a corned beef sandwich in New York and Columbus would never be the same without that experience.
The atmosphere has a bit to be desired - don’t plan on coming to enjoy the ambience or a cozy environment. But if you’re looking to gnosh on a hearty deli sandwich, you will not be disappointed.
I’ll be back soon to try Le Touchdown and take it to...

Read moreStopped in after reading rave reviews about Frenchi's sandwiches. So there is no surprise for you, it is takeout only. Do not let that deter you! The owner is a delight and the sandwiches are memorable. When you walk in you will smell fresh made bread. I could have stayed just for the aroma. The #6 I got was on toasted bread. The turkey and ham were very thinly sliced to melt in your mouth. They are heated with cheese of choice and bacon slapped on to that pile. There is a good selection of fixings for the sandwiches of which I chose pickles, peppers, lettuce and thinly sliced red onions eased with a yummy honey mustard sauce. Also appearing are tomatoes, cukes, jalapeños and a handful or two of other sauce selections. All the toasty, creamy, crunchy notes hit perfection for me. There is a sandwich for every person . Encouraging all my Cbus...
