Let me start by saying this place is a complete vibe besides the terrible Customer Service. And this isn’t a one time experience. We’ve been coming here, my friends and I for months and months, and try to give them the benefit of the doubt because who doesn’t want to support an up-and-coming black owned business, right?! But there’s a difference between trial and error and flat out ungratefulness and awful service. Now, after we complained, someone named Nari did attempt to make it right, he apologized and told us not to worry about the bill, but his counterpart was more concerned about flexing her muscles and showing that she had parts of the business, instead of customer service. No, a few people won’t make or break a business, but we also encountered several customers who had had the same experience as us while we were there, and who stated they aren’t coming back either. Long story short, they ran off weekly customers because of the terrible customer service and gf or whatever not following up on or honoring what he said. At the end of the night, we told her we thought some of the bill will be taken care of as he stated, and she said with a smirk, “ I mean I can give u a lil discount if u NEED it.” lol. Ridiculous. I don’t NEED anything but better customer service when I’m trying to support BOB’s. To say the least, we won’t be back. To be more worried about trying to prove a point and be cutesie rather than grow your partners business is ridiculous to me. SMH. Shout out to Robbie and Malaysia for great food and great customer and also...

We placed an additional order that took an additional 30 minutes which we decided after 20 min we didn’t want it because by this time we were ready to go. The OWNER came out and proceeded to argue you with me because I decided I did not want the food! He was very nasty and rude. I explained to him that we were ready to go by this time and no longer wanted the food seeing that it was shrimp and it would have been left in the car due to us heading to the mall and fair and then traveling 2 hours back home! He continued to try to argue with me even after I offered to pay for half the cost of the food but I still did not want to take it! I will not be returning and if you are wanting to enjoy a meal with your friends/family together this may not be the place because it seems to be an issue with the food prep time and trying to have the order out together for the entire table! Maybe ordering pick up would be a better experience if you’re local. The taste of the food as myself & friends all agreed was good & price...
Read moreHad my second experience at Waves and was just as impressed as I was the first time. Received exceptional service from the same bartender Brandi; pleasant, polite, professional and most importantly efficient.
Able to receive service the moment I sat down, even on a relatively busy evening.
Atmosphere was great! Good mix of not too young and seasoned patrons.
Both visits were on a Thursday. Both featured a live DJ. Both visits his sets were FIRE; in his bag from beginning to end. Something for everyone.
Space well designed and imagined. Absolutely clean and spotless everywhere (bathrooms as well; major kudos to management for this important attention to detail).
Only reason I couldn't give a full 5 stars is because it's the toughest business in the hospitality game in my opinion. To be successful long term, you must always leave room for improvement so you don't forget how GREAT you started!
I was told they are a year in. So far they absolutely "get it." Whole team was hustling; front of the house and back of the house.
Historic neighborhood. Laid back vibes. Good people.
Pull up...you won't be disappointed!
Definitely will continue...
