Total disappointment. We had a reservation and got sat right away. Our server was slow to take our drink order and slow to take our order. We started with sliders and they came out at a normal speed. Sliders were flavorful and delicious. We then didn't get our food until after 9:35 when we sat down at 8pm. By now, it was extremely loud (couldn't even talk and it was almost like a club with how loud the music was) and only big parties were sat next to us. And.. .these large parties all seem to be getting food. I asked for the manager twice. He didn't come by until he had our food. He blamed our server for not putting it in unti our appetizer was removed from our table. Our server never refilled our bread the entire time or drinks - I wanted another drink but was never asked. Our food was fine. I got a maurice salad, my husband got the special, my friend got the bolognese and her husband got his food to go because he was tired of waiting. I asked to talk to the manager again. One would think he would check on us. Since he never came, I went to the host stand to ask her to send him over - she was lovely and said of course. The manager kept looking at us but didn't come over. He looked to find other things to do rather than provide good customer service and apologize. It was everyone else's fault for why our food took and there was nothing he could do - not even show that he cared. The manager we spoke to is Mike. He does not belong in a role of being a manager of a brand new restaurant and striving to provide great customer service. All he needed to do was apologize and be acountable. He did the opposite - zero accountablity and avoided our table like something was wrong was just beyond rude. Honestly, food is good. I'm sad about our experience but this manager left a really bad taste in my mouth and I doubt we'll go back. There are plenty of other restaurants...
Read moreWe had reservations at 22fifteen, and our group of four was excited to try it for the first time. Sadly, I think we all walked away thinking it was ok and not worth the more than $200 spent on the meal/experience. The food seemed to have potential, but it was honestly served to us lukewarm at best. One guest’s steak frites entree was served unusually as a whole NY strip, with 2 side bowls of sauce, not fanned across the plate and sauced. That’s fine, but if you’re going to serve a steak whole at least bring the customer a steak knife. (The waiter inexplicably continued to forget this.) The steak was cooked nicely, but the fries were cold and nothing notable. My short ribs were good (the seasonal carrots were excellent), but everything was barely lukewarm. When one guest ordered the pasta primavera with shrimp as the protein, the waiter’s response was, almost comically, “You only get three. Unless you want to double it.” Our waiter never told us that there were dinner specials - we only heard about them when a different waiter at another table told them what they are. All in all, it wasn’t what we expected for the price point for a dinner that included cocktails, an appetizer, and four entrees. One tip, we chose to sit on the patio as it was a nice evening. Maybe if we had sat inside our server wouldn’t have been as distracted? Not sure. Overall, it was just so so. We usually give a newer restaurant a second try, and hope for a better...
Read moreWe highly enjoyed our experience at 22 Fifteen. Our server, Erica, was fantastic. She gave us great recommendations and was on top of everything. The food was delicious starting with the complimentary bread service. The cocktails and beer were yummy and reasonably priced. We had the tuna poke nachos first. The sushi- grade tuna was fresh and delicious. We loved the presentation and unique flavor combinations but would have loved a little more spice. For some reason our jalapeños were pretty mild, and we like a little heat. Not their fault- jalapeños are unpredictable! My husband had the French onion soup. He was excited that they used Gruyère on top because most restaurants in Michigan use provolone. The flavor was excellent but he wished there was more crispy cheese on the sides of the bowl. He did say he would order it again in the future. Next, we had the kale salad with chicken and the filet ‘o fish sandwich. Both were excellent and fresh. We will definitely return to try some of the entrees and of course, pasta! Overall, we had a great experience at 22 Fifteen and will return. It’s exciting to have a nice restaurant close by and not have to drive to...
