Three years ago, I left a great review, but I have to change that today. This is my first time returning since then.
Let me start by saying that any one of my gripes would not have been a deal breaker but there we're several little things that added up, kinda sucked.
On their website, Prime 7 advertised a band playing the night I wanted to go, so I called almost a week ahead of time to make a reservation. The guy who answered was great, took my name, told me the band starts at 630 so I made the reservation for that time.
When I arrived the place wasn't too busy, so I probably didn't need the reservation. Good thing too, because they didn't have my name for any reservation. I asked the greeter about the band and he said they're probably running late.
After getting seated, it took awhile for our waiter to get to us and even longer to come get our drink order. The beer I ordered from their menu was out. Then the second beer I ordered was out. Finally found one on the menu and it took another 5 minutes to actually get it. Easily 5 minutes between each beer flubb.
Ordered saganaki while we decided on our entree. It was fine. Hard to mess up flaming cheese. No spectical or big flames. Fine. No big deal.
We each ordered black and blue burgers, sides salads, fries for me, onion rings for her. Salads came and they were great then they brought out the onion rings... Without the rest of the food. 10 minutes later the food comes out. Weird.
The food we got was good but wasn't right. I ordered no pickles but got exactly one pickle... Like they forgot and went back and took the pickles off and just forgot one. Both burgers had barely a half teaspoon of blue cheese. Almost none. Certainly not enough to even taste.
Waiter informed us that the band cancelled. Also disappointing. I wonder how long the restaurant knew. Did they call people on the reservation list to let them know?
Beer sat empty for almost 5 minutes before he asked if I wanted another and almost 10 minutes before he brought it out.
The highlight of my night was the fact that I could pay for my meal at the table via QR code.
I won't be rushing back...
Read moreThis location we thought would be a nice place to go while staying on a Cooley Lake Front property for the weekend by the appearance of it. I gave the location 1 star because unfortunately I couldn’t give it a zero. This location was nice in appearance upon going in, we sat at the bar and the appearance of the bar tender was Hideous with some cut of, uneven raggedy shorts and by the appearance of her hair it looked like she had just rolled out of bed however it was after 8:30 on a Saturday night.
The service received was far from good and it seemed like no one was paying attention to us as we sat at the bar. When we got there, other than us there were three people sitting across the new bar section and two other couples at the original bar location so they weren’t busy, I ordered a Crown Royal & 7 up with lime. After I ordered it, the bar tender told me they had no lime and asked if I wanted lemon. I said no and asked if they had any lime juice And she said yes.
About 10 minutes later when the drinks finally came out, my Crown Royal & 7 up had a lemon on it. The bar tender walked away and when she finally returned I asked her if she had any lime juice. She said, oh yea, I’ll be right back, when she returned she had what looked like a shot of whisky in a little glass. I smelt it and it smelled horrific. I said to her....this is lime juice? She said yes it came right out of the bottle and asked me if I would rather have some sweet and sour mix. I’m not sure how sweet and sour mix would be anything like lime juice but we had the worst experience and will never be returning to this location.
Furthermore, the owner/manager was around the bar area and seemed to be trying to check on people as they were leaving. He went behind the main bar removed his Covid 19 state mandated mask and started talking to the couple at the bar far from the social distancing standard. He had no concern about complying with the State’s mask mandate to operate during the national pandemic. We wanted out of there so fast we didn’t finish our drinks or wait for our Keno...
Read moreTLDR first time service was unresponsive food was not cooked. Second time different staff undetectable and the food was terrible.
Well I tried. First time I thought it could be a fluke as there was a big group waiting when we arrived. Our server was extremely slow and seemed to hide around the server station avoiding her section. Did not fill my drink after she brought it. She forgot sauces and would walk SLOWLY to go back to get them. I ordered the Monterey chicken and on a positive note the chicken was cooked. Nothing else on the plate was cooked green beans, Broccoli, peppers and onions on the chicken all raw..
Gave the place a second chance again because the first time there was a big group of people. This time the restaurant was empty. Different server still could only focus on one table at a time taking forever between tables. Filled my drink once which is better than the first time but still the glasses sat empty for most of our meal. Asked politely to have our daughters meal come out with our appetizers not only did all the food come out at once after a very long wait but the appetizers were forgotten completely. Boneless wings and potato skins were cooked (you can’t mess that up) but the nachos were absolutely horrendous. I think they may have been out of ingredients because I did not get chili as the menu states, I got a hamburger crumbled on top of a bag of plain chips.
This restaurant is right around the corner from our home and we so much wanted it to be successful I can truly say after both of these experiences I will not be...
