Wing Hong's Express — Restaurant in Commerce Charter Township

I've been going here since they opened, I've moved cities (Livonia and now Pinckney) and STILL drive back to my home town just to get Wing Hongs because I've tried EVERY SINGLE PLACE I've moved and NOTHING compared to here!! They have one of the sweetest family owned restaurants I've ever been to!! They literally (20 min before closing on 12/27/24) made 6 dinners of different things for my mom's birthday (would have been there earlier but the freeway from where I live in Pinckney to there had been shut down for a traffic accident). I felt so bad having them do all that so close to closing but explained it's literally my mom and I's favorite place within multiple counties, it was for her birthday dinner, and got stuck in traffic. The daughter smiled and said absolutely NO PROBLEM, tell your mom we said happy birthday and hope she loves her dinner, and thanked me for us being loyal customers... LET ME TELL YOU!!! Got to my mom's 35 min away in Fenton thinking it would be the normal (still giant) portions and possibly still "warm", nope, it was STILL piping HOT and so full we ate it for 3 days lol!! HANDS DOWN, if you're looking for good prices, the BEST service that takes pride, a GIANT portion, and the best flavors you'll EVER taste, then I HIGHLY recommend stopping by Wing Hongs on Union Lake Rd. (please don't get it confused with other similar names that are all over the Internet, Union lake is the ONLY ONE I will ever go to or suggest y'all check out!)

Wonderful food in all ways. Consistent, Deliciously seasoned, Perfectly cooked, Fresh ingredients, HUGE portions, great price, Fast. In every way possible Wing Hong is a Gem. The fried rice is exceptional. Have eaten many different dishes here and they are all excellent. Just look at these pictures .. and yes, it tastes as good as it looks! Best Eggrolls I have ever had. The fried Rice is prefect, moist, full of flavor. The chicken is tender, juicy, high quality perfectly cooked. The vegetables, fresh and alive. And lets talk about the portions! Easily enough for 2 people on one order. Treat yourself and family.

Update 2/24/2022: I stand by my review excellent food. They are VERY consistent. It's so rare to have a restaurant that gives you Outstanding quality, Great price, and Huge portions. A true local Gem.

Update 9/13/22 Still the Best Chinese food in the area. As they always have been, very consistent. HUGE portions. Wonderful fresh ingredients. Great cook and seasoning. Great Price. Times are tough.. but you could feed a whole family on a budget here.

Bland and underwhelming. WAY overpriced for the quality. 2 orders of fried rice and a side if vegetables cost us $23, a price I would gladly pay for good food. The fried rice did not have egg and the only veg in it was a small amount of bean sprouts. It lacked flavor and was overly greasy. The containers we're packed so full that they were stapled shut. What else does that stapler get used in this restaurant before it touches my food? The vegetables consisted of mostly water chestnuts with a few pieces of bok choy, bamboo shoots, broccoli and sliced carrots for added color. Again, it lacked any distinct flavor or seasoning and was swimming in a strange slimy liquid that looked like cornstarch mixed with water. The container of vegetables was overflowing with liquid and placed inside a plastic bag with the top tied. From my perspective, it would be better to offer smaller portions of good food rather than huge portions of sub-standard slop. A truly sad and disappointing experience. I do...
