I usually love Kroger but after my experience these last few days, I will never shop at a kroger ever again. I used kroger pickup on thursday 4/7 and was charged $118 upon making my order (with the understanding that depending on what they do or don't have, they may have to adjust that amount once the shopping is complete to make up for what items they do or don't have). Upon pickup, I get a receipt emailed to me that says my total is $123, so I am expecting a refund of $5. Instead, looking at my bank account I noticed that instead of giving me my money back, they actually charged me another $39. I chat with an agent on kroger pickup app who is was honestly quite rude and short with me, and that person assured me that the amounts would adjust and be corrected within 48 hours and not to worry because it was just a "pre-authoization charge." I was upset by that because understandably, there would a preauthorization of maybe a few dollars but not one of $39, that amount it too random a number for me to agree that it was a pre-authorization charge," But, whatever, I decide to let it go and check back 48 hours later. 48 hours later, both charges of $118 and $39 are still showing on my card. I wait another two days and you guessed it, the charges are still there. I call my store and speak to Joy who was actually very friendly- he told me that he has no way of processing refunds and that there was a number I needed to call to get this handled. I call that number and speak to someone who looked into it only to discover that she doesn't see the charge of $39 on there, that they only captured the original amount of $118 and so she can only process a refund of $5 for the overcharge there. I told her that's great but also that I still am showing a kroger charge of $39 and need that refunded and she told me that I would need to call my bank to speak to someone about that because they cannot see that on their end. So, I call my bank, and they tell me that the $39 was ran through as a legitimate charge and that the only way I can get that money back would be to go in-person to the bank and dispute the charge and that doing so would mean I would have to get a new debit card. She said what she thinks happened is that Kroger's system had a glitch. This experience has shown me that I should not trust kroger with my banking information because apparently they can AND will charge whatever they want to and then claim that they don't see it on their end, escaping all responsibility of giving said money back. I will tell any and everyone I come into contact with that they should think twice before shopping...
Read moreIf you want a quality service to do your shopping for you in times of need, then I recommend not choosing Kroger clicklist. Every single time that I have tried to use it, they've let me down. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and thinking that theyâve worked the kinks out in the many months/year since Iâve been utilizing it, but instead of getting better, it appears itâs getting worse. It started out with lazy shoppers that didnât feel like looking thoroughly for the items that you put on your list, so they marked it as unavailable or out of stock when it was fully in stock. I would show up to pick up my order and maybe have an eighth of my order that actually made it to my trunk-which meant that I had to go shopping for myself anyway. Now theyâve got shoppers shopping 6 to 10 orders at once on a big cart, so each single person who is waiting for their order is waiting longer because theyâre doing too much at once. I set up an order early in the morning to pick up between 4 and 5 PM today, and got a text after 4 PM saying that my order wouldnât be ready to pick up until between 5 and 6 PM. If thatâs not bad enough, I was on my way there at 5:45, and I marked myself on my way on the app, and I got a phone call saying that they thought it would be another hour and a half before it was ready. Seriously?!? I told her what she could do with the order and went in and did it myself in less time, but more aggravation. Simply not worth the time, effort, and...
Read moreSome of the worst customer service Iâve ever had. You stand in line at the deli counter, people are working behind the counter, and they donât look up to acknowledge the customers in front of them. Theyâre comfortable letting people wait there for minutes at a time. Theyâre short and rude with you, and they want you to shout across the entire breath of the deli counter to even get their attention. Then, when you go up to the customer service desk to speak to a manager, to inform them of the situation. They practically ignore you too three people standing behind the counter, not one of them, looked up to acknowledge me, and two of them walked away without acknowledging me. Finally somebody does acknowledge me, I inform them of the situation and request to speak to a manager. Thereâs no manager available, and the person behind the counter offered no solution, no consideration, and genuinely did not care about my feedback. May I remind you that we the customers are paying your wages. Has it somehow slipped your mind that these are the people that youâre supposed to be taken care of. What happened to customer service? What happened to caring about your job or the people that are shopping in your establishment? If you stay quiet and donât give feedback, youâre equally as guilty. The problem will never be fixed if it is...
