I posted a positive review 6 months ago. I edited it out for a negative review. Here is why; I placed a phone order this morning for a kid's breakfast pancakes, bacon, & eggs; french toast breakfast with bacon. I asked the guy on phone to make all bacon crispy but not burnt. He was nice on the phone when I got there he was just as nice I paid & left. Something told me to check my food, but my son was super hungry, so I just went home thinking it would be fine. I get home & all the bacon is practically half cooked! At this point I...AM...LIVID! So I'm packing the food up to go back up there for a full redo & my son is complaining by how hungry he is. I had to cook the bacon a little longer & threw the pancakes in the pan for a bit cause all that half cooked bacon fat was on the pancakes & I put my French toast in the toaster oven. Not to mention the food was in the containers sloppily as if they just threw the food in with ZERO care. I was going to let the complaint go, but I paid Tam's to fully cook my food; not partially cook it for me to come home & finish the cooking process. If that was the case I would've went to the store & cooked from start to finish. On the phone I am expressing to the guy what's going on just to be cut off as if he knew all I was going to say. I couldn't even finish the whole complaint cause he's cutting me off trying to explain whatever he was explaining. He said the cook didn't see "CRISPY" on the receipt. I take a look at the receipt & the word is NOT HIDDEN its literally in plain view. How did he miss it? I have no clue. I will NOT & I do repeat will NOT be going back to this Tam's again. The one on Rosecrans & Central is...
Read moreI just visited Tam's 23 restaurant in the city of Compton. I must tell you that the food is nothing to scream about, let me go over some of the major concerns that I had at this restaurant. Let's start off with the food, I ordered a chicken dinner, the fries were undercooked and we're not seasoned,Let's start off with the food, the fries were undercut and we're not properly seasoned, I've never had onion rings that did not have flavor to them, but The Onion rings were also blind and they really didn't taste fresh, it tasted like they got a box of onion rings and the string on the grill and didn't cook it all the way through. The chicken was my biggest problem, I cannot stand chicken that is dry, that means my chicken was overcooked. I had to get up and ask the cashier if a drink came with the meal that I purchased because I needed to drink something after trying to consume a dry piece of chicken. I was informed that the meal that I ordered does not come with a drink yet I spent $20 on this particular meal. I'm not sure if the food has been properly cared for here also, maybe an inspection is warranted here.
The final thing I need to identify is the initial person that was taking care of me, the cashier he was very polite, very kind, when I asked to use the restroom he provided me a key with no problem and inform me where the restroom was though I already had been there before. Yes did I say I had been there before, I was there a year ago and that food was off the hook meaning the food tasted great and did not require me to get up and ask the cashier for salt packets, pepper packets, and...
Read moreSo... my experience huh? Well I was really hungry and decided to go to Tam's #23 on Alameda and Palmer... right there on the corner in the city of Compton. I ate a little bit of my food... as I couldn't eat it all. I was still hungry... so when I got off of work, I ate about half of my food and I was fine until about 30 minutes or so... as my stomach started to feel weird and bubbly. As soon as I got home, I went straight to the bathroom. Why did it feel like I had just had a laxative???🤔🙄 So in that experience... I will not be going back to Tam's #23 in Compton. In rating... I give zero (0) stars... not satisfied at all. I'm glad I waited to eat... otherwise it would have been another crazy situation......
