This review was a hard one to give from me being we have always been more than satisfied with our visits here in the past, but I am definitely not happy with them at this point. I mention this opening statement with only one reason in mind, and that is to state proof of our satisfaction on all the prior visits until this last which was on 6/13/2021. On Sunday 5/23/2021 I was purchasing items at Menards next door and it was 11:15am, I decided to wait until noon when Los Amigos opened to order take out for lunch. On this visit I told the manager how much I appreciated them working so hard and remaining open during the pandemic as I know it's not easy these days. In fact I wanted to know how many people were working on this particular Sunday, and learned that there were 7 employees present on this day. I tipped the manager an additional $140.00 cash in order for each employee to know how much they were appreciated. I did this in the presence of 2 of the other staff that visit. So fast forward to Sunday 6/13/2021 and I returned for some more of their great food, ordering the seafood chili and a 4 beef taco dinner, and upon returning home I found the order totally messed up and upon calling the restaurant and leaving a message for a call back, I to this day still have not been called back and even left a message on Facebook about it to them, and still no word. Thank you Adrian for the respect of calling me back so I could addressmy concern, im done going there, and again won't be easy finding a replacement for this great place but respect goes both...
Read moreI'm not sure where to start, we ordered Bahama Mamas that had either spoiled pineapple or orange juice in it, just awful and fizzy. It took forever to get his attention to let him know even though he was sitting at the table next to us on his cell phone. Then we ordered the $15 a piece pineapple drinks which took 25 minutes to get and were bitter and gross quite frankly but just bit the bullet and kept them. There was almost zero alcohol in them for sure. The poblanos dinner I ordered said it was served on a bed of beef, well no beef to be found just a soggy cheesy mess with maybe a teaspoon of guac. Then came desert we ordered chimichanga cheese cake that says it's served with ice cream, Carmel, whipped cream and cherries and it came with birthday cake sprinkles and whipped cream only. Tried to explain the menu but didn't get to far besides getting one scoop of fried ice cream when we ordered two of the deserts. To add insult to injury the so called fried ice cream was just ice cream rolled in soggy cereal. I used to love to go here but...
Read moreYummy! Satisfying! The portions are large and the prices reflect it, but you won't be disappointed. They serve fresh tortilla chips with their out-of-this-world homemade salsa. [You can buy some to take home...yes I did that and NO regrets!] Then you can order your delicious meal which will be freshly made for you. My favorite is their carnita fajitas. The pork is tender and juicy and tates like its been simmering for days in some sort of magic carnita sauce. Plan to be there an hour to hour and a half at busy times. If you can go in off times, you'll be served a lot faster, obviously.
If I have to say there's anything that I'd like to see improved, its that because of some of the waitstaffs language barrier, it can be difficult (but not often) to get your food item altered or made special and deviate off the menu. But DO go here and enjoy some AWESOME and authentic Mexican style foods! It's sooooooo worth it! Go in through the entrances...
