Panera Bread — Restaurant in Comstock Charter Township

This Panera location is a complete fail. It’s very close to my house so sometimes when I want a less caloric meal I give it a try again despite past experiences. If it is not one thing, it’s the next. They have been very, very late for delivery, burnt food, forgotten dressing, took 8wks for a refund- whatever. This last time, yesterday (04/27/19) I came in to pick up my rapid pick up order. It was for about 2:45pm. I came after 10 minutes like it said - store is empty and my food wasn’t ready. A young lady asked me if I was here for pick up and I said yep. She said “oh it must have not came in, what did you have?” I was like ok....just a full size Caesar salad. She was carrying non-food items and stopped what she was doing to make my food, and she did, quickly. When I got to eating about 30m later, I found a piece of what looked like a grill brush bristle at the end of my salad. Lovely! (This is the last thing I ate that day) Fast forward to about 6 hours later. It’s 9pm and I start to get the chills & my body feels very weak & tired. I literally cannot move off of the couch. Well whatever my body was doing, made me fall asleep.. I was so tired. I woke up about 10:45pm and I feel freezing, even though I have a huge blanket on. My boyfriend touches my back and tells me how hot I feel- huh? Turns out I had a fever 101 degrees. I go back to sleep and wake up about 2am to go to bed and right before I lay down for bed I feel like I’m gonna pass out and I start sweating. I run to the bathroom and puke my BRAINS OUT! The other end too! You guys gave me food poisoning. I’m still sick as I’m typing this. I don’t know what the heck happened but hopefully my time stamps will give you insight as to what made me so sick. I am never, ever, ever returning to this location and it will be awhile before I go to another - if I ever do.

EDIT; about 2 days later and I still CANT EAT! THX Panera for screwing...

Last time I ordered online t was 15 minutes late and crappy quality but I still have it a try... how unfortunate for me.

Today:

Ordered online at 12:07pm and was given a delivery time of 12:37-12:47pm. Got an email at 12:52pm saying the order was on its way. At 1:15 I called (I only live 5 minutes away) and was told they would call me back in a few minutes (they did not call back). At 1:28 I received a text saying my order had arrived- it's hadn't. At 1:32pm I called again to ask if they had heard anything about my order. They basically said they were backed up and had some call ins but that if it said arrived it should be there soon and that I could have a blessed day. At 1:38 my food finally showed up. The driver was very nice and I could tell she was swamped. She gave me a free pick 2 for being an hour late but then informed me that they ran out of frosting so the cookie was just plain. It normally wouldn't be a huge deal but try explaining that to the 3 year old who picked it out as a reward- had I known I would've picked a different cookie for him that didn't need frosting to make it "special". A call offering an alternative would've been nice. The food was cold and thrown together. I will NEVER again order from Panera for delivery and I don't suggest...

I was disappointed to HAVE to download their app because they don't take phone orders and the web browser version was not working. After being annoyed by that I arrive and wait in my truck for my "Curb side delivery ". After receiving three emails I got tired if waiting and went inside. Come to find out this location doesn't bring it to you curb dude like advertised.

As for the food, they were out of baguette, and chips. The veggie salad was bland and looked old. The strawberries in the fruit salad were not ripe. But the worst part of the whole experience .... the broccoli and cedar was watered down ! Who ever is managing this location should not have a job. I Will not be back to...
