Dive Bar Concord — Restaurant in Concord

My wife and I stopped by The Dive Bar in Concord, NC around 1–2 PM on Saturday (10/25/25), and honestly, the experience was terrible. The bartender was talking with a couple who were sitting at the bar and never once greeted us, introduced herself, or offered any kind of service.

I had to be the one to ask about the pool tables and even the menu. When I did, she said they only have frozen food cooked to order — and made it sound like she was trying to talk me out of buying anything. The whole vibe was unwelcoming, and it was clear she was more interested in getting back to her conversation than serving customers.

We walked out and went to Havana Carolina, which was a completely different experience — warm, friendly, and full of great energy. The service there was 10/10 🔥🔥.

If you’re looking for good food and great service in Concord, skip The Dive Bar and head to Havana Carolina instead. You’ll thank me later.

‼️To the owner who responded For clarification: This occurred Saturday 10/25 afternoon around 2–3 PM. There were only two people sitting in the whole entire bar, so it definitely wasn’t busy. Great bar. Plenty to do. Closes later than the others. But the bartenders are definitely very biased and selective. If you don’t fit their preference you will not be served. A woman that was definitely over served had said that i was stubbing tequila in the parking lot with my friends. The only trails tequila in that parking lot was my buddies gf who had a marked cup. He drank water from his water bottle while smoking his cigarette. I was told last night that i was not going to be served due to the night that i was asked to leave even though i was told i could come back another time. I was in no way shape or form drunk and have only ever ordered michelob. So the accusations are very aggravating and i was told im a problem because i had stayed 20 minutes extra to finish a dart game that was paid for. My friends and i tip well and apologized for staying shortly after but it was an early night anyways. She was still cleaning and we cleaned up our mess. The service is great.

The prices are reasonable.

The bar food could be improved upon a little. There are better frozen pizzas for instance, to offer. I will say, the $2 hot dog is a total steal though! One saving grace is they allow you to bring your own food in and even have Benny's next door deliver their own pizza.

If they had a better selection of draft beers and bar food, I'd probably go back more often. Regardless, I'll probably pop in here and there when I'm around.
