An acquaintance suggested I try Frailey's because it was a nice place. I agree its a nice place. Its more of a family restaurant than a social bar. I was even discussing with my acquaintance why I wanted to go to places like this...to meet people. The social atmosphere. I was not impressed with the social atmosphere from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I'm sure the social climate changes as the evening goes on, but it doesn't have the typical accouterments of the social atmosphere I enjoy: no bandstand, no pool tables, bar closed off from the majority of the dining areas, private dining arrangements.
Also the hostesses and servers were less than friendly. Jessica, the bartender was nice, but too busy to socialize. Even in the steam of chaos, the servers of my favorite places go out of their way to make me feel like the most important customer they ever had. I think Jessica did great though.
The girls at the door, and the support staff/support servers...ugh! The hostess just looked at me stunned for a couple of beats before I finally said "One please." They barely greeted me and both just kept looking at me like I had interrupted a critical conversation. I am sure they were also busy (KIDS EAT FREE TUES THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHTS), but I didn't expect to initiate the service.
Kids eat free is great...for people who have kids. I'm single. Looking for fun, friendship and romance. I didn't find it at Frailey's.
I think if you go to Frailey's for food, or quiet relaxation, you will be perfectly satisfied. But don't go during twilight to socialize, especially during the week. Its just too much like a...
Read moreI have been going to Fraileys for years I have never had an experience like I did tonight I ordered the turkey melt It came to the table the bacon on it was so hard I couldn’t chew it. There was just a glob of turkey in the middle of the bread I took the bacon off of my sandwich. I even told my husband tastes it I cannot even chew it. When the waitress Lillian came to the table, I told her I couldn’t even eat it. I had taken 2 to 3 bites out of one side of the sandwich and tore off bread that didn’t have any thing on it and didn’t even touch the other half of the sandwich. When Lillian came back to the table, I told her I couldn’t eat it and I just gave it to her. So I’m assuming she went back and told the cook and the other waitresses that I had sent it back because the cook came out, looked around the corner we were in a booth and looked right at me. He knew where to look she told him where I was sitting two of the waitresses turned around and looked at me when Lillian came to the table with the ticket. She threw it on the table and said enjoy the rest of your evening!!!!! Very rude!! And yes, my husband gave her a nice tip he always does. And this all transpired on Tuesday, June...
Read moreThe food at Frailey's has always been nothing short of very good. My challenge as of late, or should I say is their challenge is staff shortage. Being there on a Sunday afternoon with the place packed to the gills and only 3 servers and one busboy doubling as a host was a nightmare for not only us but many others. It took forever to get our food, we had to practically chase down someone to get drinks refilled, and getting the bill was next to impossible. I can't count on two hands how many people walked in waiting to be seated, but turned around and left because they were not attended to. I understand that there is a shortage of workers everywhere, but there has to be some kind of management decision that buffers that obstacle, allowing the staff to not be overworked and the customers frustrated. This last visit while somewhat miserable will not stop me from returning as I enjoy the food and the atmosphere, but I certainly hope they can streamline their processes. I do recommend Frailey's based on past experience and their great menu. I wish them luck in their...
