Denny's — Restaurant in Conroe

It was easy to find a good parking spot. After that, everything went downhill fast. The restaurant was all but deserted, but out of the sea of empty booths, they seated us directly next to a man who was emitting a very strong odor of perspiration. Not their fault he was stinky-sweaty, but why put us there? With a pang of regret, we nonetheless remained committed to our choice because it was 10pm, we were starved, and options were very limited.

Our server took our order and brought us food and drinks so technically she did her job.

The food. I will start with the good. They offer gluten-free English muffins and they are actually very good. My dining companion said his regular toast was adequate. We had both ordered the All American slam, which features eggs scrambled with cheese. My eggs were quite overdone, with browned spots throughout. His were better. The bacon was so crispy that chewing it was like eating granola. They made up for scorching that by barely cooking the sausage, which was gray and unappetizing.

The hashbrowns were as good as hashbrowns from Dennys can be expected to be. I was able to eat them even if I wasn't terribly enthusiastic about it. My friend said his coffee and orange juice were very good. I had water. It was wet and helped me wash down some of the dry eggs so I'll give it a thumbs up also.

We did not ask for anything to be redone nor did we complain to the manager on duty; it was obvious that nobody there took any pride in their work and we didn't want to sit in the stench waiting for a remake that was not likely to be any better than the original.

Definitely will never return to this location and I hope they are able to retain their entire staff so I will not have to be subjected to them elsewhere...

Hi so never write reviews but I think what Im about to say needs to get addressed, I went Monday July 26,2021. I go like 3 times every month with my husband and mu 3 kids hoping for the staff to get better. There was 3 tables it was so slow, but our waitress Tara m did so horrible on serving us. First it took more than 20 min to bring our drinks. After that she took the order which we repeated like 5 times the same thing over and over because I think she wrote it wrong on her note book. After been waiting 40 min for our order to get served did finally arrived. Once she served us my skillet potatoes were burned, forgot my kiddos mac and cheese and two sides .before we started eating she brought the ticket, I saw the ticket told her that ticket wasn’t mine and She snatched it off from my hands, walked away and gaved me a different one. This ticket was almost right just that it had 2 items added to the ticket that I didn’t order. So I went to the front told her that I didn’t get the mac and cheese and two sides and that my ticket also had items that we didn’t order or get in the table. Her respond was “at this point I cant void anything from the system. I didn’t said anything because I was very upset at that point. So I paid what was in the ticket. Didn’t left a tip either. Hope this message get read by a corporate or someone that can actually work on getting better staff that way clients can go happily spend their money here for a good customer service good food and clean environment normally I spent $49 dollars but this time I went only with my kids so wAs $20 ish. Went in on a date night with my wife on April 17th 2021 at 5pm. Walked in and the whole restaurant just felt off walking through the door. Almost as if the place was on slow mode. After sitting down we ordered. Each time the waitress came over and walked away, my wife and I both agreed that she seemed off or on drugs. Blue cheese dip came with my wife's wings she ordered, which was dropped off at our table when our drinks were brought. Thanks for the room temperature dip. After about 45 minutes into waiting for our meal (mind we are 1 of 4 tables in the whole restaurant). I told my wife if it's not here by 6:15, we are walking after I speak to a manager. We didn't even make it that long before we got up and left. Because I saw the waitress put her plate of food she was eating down to get our plate and never washed her hands. After I asked for a manager and explained to her what I had seen. I then asked if there was something wrong with her because something didn't seem right. I told the manager it's as if she's drunk or on drugs. That's when she stated the waitress had taken something for her head. If you're that messed up to where the public can tell you're messed up on something then ya probably shouldn't be handling food and dealing...
