The server was terrible. Definitely needs more training in customer service. She wasn't rude, but she was not personable. Doesn't catch on to key server roles. Our drinks were empty majority of the time. I ordered fajitas with no onion, and informed her it was an allergy. When I received my food, it was on a bed of extra onions and no peppers that fajitas traditionally come with. She never provided me tortillas with my fajitas and I couldn't get her attention the rest of the time because she wouldn't look my way. Other servers saw me trying to get her attention, but did not assist. By the time my table was finished eating, she came by. She asked me what was wrong, I said I need tortillas. She then went to go get them, but I ask for to go boxes since my table had already finished eating. She did not apologize at all. The food was okay. There are definitely better restaurants nearby that provide better service and food, so there is nothing about this one that stands out from the rest. Her performance was disappointing and could definitely use some more training on how to...
Read moreWe stopped in to El Tri to check out a new Mexican Restaurant in Conroe. This Tex-Mex food was subpar at best. The tostadas that came with the ceviche were overcooked making them impossible to chew without cutting your mouth. The queso was nothing more than heated up Velveeta cheese. Our server was nowhere to be found throughout our dining experience which would have been understanding if we were not her only customers. We had to flag down another waitress for napkins and extra chips. The charge for a shared ceviche, 2 beers, and a queso was $40+. El Tri does not serve margaritas, wine, liquor and has an incredibly limited...
Read moreMy husband and I placed an order for kids quesdilla, sampler platter, and enchiladas. When he got home and we unpacked the food, there was no sampler in there. My husband called and there was no answer. The second try, the lady hung up on him after he explained we didn't have the right food. He goes up there and eventually get my order. Their floutas were dried up chicken and we asked for beef, the nachos just had chips with sloppily thrown meat in there. Among the other food, the enchiladas were dry, and the kids quesadilla ended up being harder than a quesadilla should be. I love local places, but this is not one I...
