Male waiter was very nice, but the overall experience by remaining staff was less than desirable. Upon walking into restaurant, several ladies standing around most with mean girl energy like they did not want to be working. We had to greet them by saying hello first. The chicken “breast” meat on orange chicken was a nasty chewy texture. It appeared stretchy and fatty. The outside flavor of sauce was acceptable, but not sure what type of chicken meat they use. The fried rice & miso soup were tasty, but the orange chicken entree we couldn’t stomach even one entire piece. I cut into several pieces to see if texture happened to be the one piece but confirmed it was the entire entree. Garlic edamame was mediocre, greasy sauce. Waiter said they use real crawfish sauce, which is unacceptable to inform us after we had started eating. What if we have a seafood allergy?! I actually am allergic specifically to crab, so thank goodness it wasn’t that. Poke bowl was not flavorful. Gyoza was subpar. I did tell waiter, but while nice he is clearly on the spectrum so responded awkwardly. We have zero issue with waiter, since he attempted to be pleasant throughout. I told the waiter about the odd texture, he said it was related to the way it was cooked being “well done” & that next time we could ask for it to be less cooked or not cooked so long. This would be absurd for chicken food safety, but again we recognized the limitations of waiter. When it was evident none was eaten & we declined a to-go container, we saw waiter telling one of the females who were standing around with negative attitude earlier & she appeared indifferent. Nobody ever came by to say anything. We’re not ones looking to get a free meal, but a good restaurant would’ve at least sent someone in charge to discuss. Finally, both men & women restrooms were filthy & messy. Customer service is everything & had the staff addressed the fact we did not eat any of the orange chicken I’d be willing to given them a second chance. But definitive never going back & do not recommend due to...
Read moreFresh Ramen and authentic Japanese beers! You would think that’s enough to get you into the door! But wait, the appetizers are as creative and aspired by Asian flavors as the name of the location dictates! The octopus balls, were delicious, as was the calamari and the Japanese crispy chicken, which was both juicy and full of flavor! Needless to say, in my visits here I have yet to experience a poor dish. But, let’s talk about the real reason you should visit. The customer service is next level! You wouldn’t think it, nor expect it, when the food and atmosphere is this good, and yet they still surpass expectations in service! I don’t give many five star reviews! But the fact that upon my return to this establishment, the waiter remembered what I ordered and tried last time to give me a different option to focus on, says a great deal about the attention to detail and the care they have for their customers! Great food, great service, great atmosphere, with good prices?... Well that’s equates to five stars!! No regrets. And you won’t have any either visiting this location!!
Wait... perhaps I shouldn’t leave this review. One of the benefits is that it’s not too packed and I can always get a seat... Ahh well, too late, just don’t become regulars if you can help it. Which I doubt will be possible once you’ve tried this place! Enjoy and...
Read moreGave this place another chance after a bad experience when they first opened. Original review is below. This time we ordered to-go because of the COVID situation. The staff was really nice. We ordered different ramens. Four total. They were all good. Even after driving home. Noodles had good bite feel. Broth was tasty. We had some of the crab puffs, steamed dumplings, and spicy garlic edamame. All were tasty. The edamame was great. I was craving this the next few days. We will definitely eat back.
Original review: Was looking forward to this place opening. Was pretty annoyed when we went in, was seated, ordered drinks and appetizer, was left to look at the menu while waiting for the appetizer. Then when time to order, “We are running on a limited menu”. She then proceeded to list of over 1/3 of the menu being unavailable. Which included everything we were planning on ordering. We ended up ordering crab puff appetizer. Was decent. I ordered the Tonkatsu. Had a fishy flavor. Which is weird because it is supposed to be pork. The broth was luke warm. Noodles and rest of the toppings was ice cold. Wife ordered Wonton ramen. Her’s was pretty good. If you are not ready to open, I would suggest wait...
