This was a neat little place and wasn't quite sure what to expect as it's located in a run-down strip center on fm1960, but you're pleasantly surprised when you walk in! You order up at the counter and then they bring your food to your table. They offer a self serve iced tea or water and they also have a long list of other iced teas which I'll have to try next time. They have a great selection of Vietnamese dishes and looks like the Banh mi is a favorite here as several people ordered it. We started with a couple spring rolls with a yummy peanut sauce, they were a bit sticky but they tasted delicious! I got the combo vermicelli which came with your choice of 3 meats or egg roll, so I got the beef, chicken and egg roll. It was absolutely delicious!! The meat was tender and not dry, so flavorful and served with fish sauce and a good portion of noodles and veggies. You can add an egg to any dish for $1. My friend got the shaking beef and it looked delicious as well! The sauce and garlic on top of onions, noodles and veggies must've been good because my friend finished their plate! The seating area is casual but nicely decorated and the wall of pictures from Vietnam was fun to explore. During dinner there was a good flow of customers and I'm sure they're packed at lunch....
Read moreMy daughter first introduced me to Ba Mien and I go there from time to time. Had a horrible experience tonight. They were empty except for one gentleman in front of me The cashier was carrying on a casual conversation with him and completely ignored me. I finally saw that his food was already on the counter and wanted to see just how long she was going to just ignore me. I was stunned at her behavior. After almost ten minutes, I finally asked the cashier if he was ordering or were they just having a conversation. She said she could take my order like she was doing me a favor. I told her that I was not going to reward Ba Mien with my money for such rude behavior. I told her that her behavior was horrible. She never apologized or anything. I'm still trying to comprehend why she didn't just didn't take my order then continue her conversation. Hopefully, management will see this review and can use this as a teaching moment for her. I know that I should have asked to speak to the manager otherwise she (the cashier) will just try to say that I was rude but I felt it best to voice my displeasure and leave. In any event, I won't give them my...
Read moreOmg! I have been eating here for the last four years on & off and I’ve tried several of their dishes and haven’t been disappointed. At first, I liked their wings, but recently I decided to try their curry chicken and I swear I have been getting this everyday for the last week! So much flavor and I always ask for them to add more spice. I’ve definitely made them some money lol. I’ve also tried their Thai tea and macaroons. So far, my favorite macaroon is the birthday cake, (I think that’s the name of it) however, I wasn’t a fan of the caramel and coffee flavor, but I do plan to try their blueberry and strawberry macaroons the next time and hopefully I’ll remember to update my posts with more feedback. Next, the “Thai” tea is amazing! It’s sweet and creamy, but not too sweet... Finally, here are my favorite go-to dishes: Wings with extra sauce and the curry chicken with extra spice, if you like your food spicy and Pho. Here are my dislikes thus far: I am not a fan of...
