This review is a little late as I went to Ceviche Prime for dinner on Thursday, August 15, however, I really wanted to make sure I wrote a review. My sister’s college friends were visiting and they insisted on going to a Peruvian restaurant. Due to the late notice, I wasn’t able to be ready until 9pm. We got to the restaurant around 9:30pm, and Diana was already cleaning. We asked if we’d still be able to eat and she told us to come in. We sat, ordered our drinks, and food. Diana was our waitress and also the bartender. My sister and her friends said how great their maracuya (passion fruit) pisco sours came out. We ordered a variety of items including lomo saltado, pulpo, causa, and since my sister is vegetarian, she ordered the ceviche de champiñones. We were pleasantly surprised to find that item on the menu. Most Peruvian restaurants don’t offer it. Everything came out quickly and was so good! I personally had the pulpo (octopus) and it was cooked perfectly. My sister’s best friend claims that was the best dish of the night. Our family has 5-star chefs directly from Lima, so we know good Peruvian cuisine, and I can honestly say this place is excellent. Carlos is the chef. He just came from Piura only seven months ago! I’m so happy we stumbled upon this restaurant on a quick Google search. They’ve already had great reviews, and I can totally see why. Oh, and the music! Absolutely perfect! The best salsa was playing. It was just overall such a great experience. Definitely come out and try Ceviche Prime. I can’t...
Read moreCeviche Prime is the newest addition to the Kendall area, with plenty of parking and easy access, this restaurant is a gem. You can find traditional Peruvian dishes. The best part is the combination of traditional flavors with new presentations, like the Lomo Campesino; a dish with selected fine meat sauted over potatoes and mixed with whole peanuts, huacatay, onions and chalaquita on top. Full of flavor! The other new combination was the fried fish and sirloin with huancaina over grilled vegetables or fried potatoes (not French fries). The generous ceviche portion has a great presentation and it’s delicious. The classic pisco sour was a hit. They also have natural fruit juices blended at the moment. Service was attentive and prompt. Prices are on the low side. This is an excellent choice for Peruvian food! 🇵🇪. We live 1 hour away,...
Read moreDisappointed. Walked in to a 3/4 empty restaurant, but at least 6 of the empty tables still were not bussed (throughout our entire meal) filled with dirty plates + leftovers. Waitress (was sweet & trying) spoke no English at all. One of our orders was incorrect 2x in a row, the appetizer Cerviche came out after all of our meals were nearly finished. They added 18% gratuity to our bill !? A party of 3, with a tab under $100-- I don't appreciate that.. Wanted to speak management but the language barrier, and the general sense of lack-of-concern for this business dissuaded me.. Oh well.. Won't be back. Average Peruvian food, tasted like any other decent Peruvian place I've been to, but ambiance, service, and forced tip make it so we...
