Comeback Burger — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

This is another Petersburg restaurant that had been on my "gotta try" list for a while. I waited for the "dad's choice" dinner for Father's Day to pull the Comeback Burger card and they did not disappoint.

We were greeted with smiles when we walked in. Our waiter, Brandon (great name), was friendly and attentive. They have plenty burger options to choose from with unique choices like The Mr. Wilson (what I chose) with pepper jam, cream cheese, and jalapenos or The Southerner with pimento cheese and bacon as well as more traditional burgers. You can add your choice of crinkle fries or onion rings.

Our food came out quickly and was fresh and very tasty. Everything was cooked perfectly and exactly as expected based on the menu descriptions. If there were anything negative worth noting, I feel like the burgers overall could be a bit bigger... but that's likely because I just wanted MORE.

Hit the place up for a quick bite, right at peak lunchtime rush. Asked the waitress what a to-go order wait was, she said 20min. I didn’t have the time so I came back after class. Fast Forward 5 hours: Walked in and place was clean and well organized. The bar was open so I took a spot and was quickly waiting on. I asked for the recommendation both for food and a beer. I ordered the comeback burger with a Trapezium local brew. I strong armed the waitress to give me both fries and onion rings(worth it) The local beer was lackluster and nothing special but the burger and onion rings made up for it. wagu beef patty cooked on a flattop with a toasted bun!!! It was burger heaven. I didn’t veer far from the standard hamburger, but don’t let that distract you from the great menu.

Wow, we stopped by this place on whim and we were not disappointed. The staff was very welcoming and the atmosphere is very laid back. The burger selection offers some very creative options for you to choose from but to be honest after tasting the wagyu beef they use I doubt you could go wrong with any option. I had the Mac Attack which melted like butter on the tongue and left me smiling. The dessert options appear to be homemade as well, I tried the German Chocolate cake and the portion was generous and delicious.

To summarize, if you are in the Old Town Petersburg and want to have flavorful dining experience that won't break the bank check this place out. We will definitely be back with friends to sample more of...
