Found that there was a hot chicken near my area and wanted to give it a shot. I was being brave and daring today, so I was craving for their spiciest level chicken. Came on a Saturday afternoon and a friendly host took my order and showed me the levels. It went from mild all the way to reaper (if extra hot wasn't hot enough?) . Went for reaper and decided to do a vanilla milkshake as well. I was told I need to sign a waiver for the reaper level spice, which I did (hoping I don't regret this). My milkshake came immediately, while the slider came a couple minutes later. I took both of them home for me to save any embarrassment from the effects of eating the slider in public.

The slider first looked like any good sandwich you get from a chicken sandwich restaurant. Nice piece of chicken with the perfect amount of breading. It was topped with a kale slaw and their special sauce. I first tasted the sauce feel near the container and felt some of the heat from the spices. I then knew to expect a nice kick. I took a bite of the chicken, and tasted all the spices and heat it gave. I was sweating and my nose started to drip. It was a tender and hot chicken. After eating half of the sandwich, the heat started kicking really hard. You can hear the sirens and bells (beedo beedo) going off and my mouth went on fire. I doused the milk shake and had another glass of milk to douse it off. But I didn't want to be a wimp, so I started eating the second half of it, while taking some breaks from the heat. After eating the whole thing, I was able to feel the intense heat for minutes. A couple napkins later, I felt better. When they asked me to sign the waiver, they were not kidding about the spice level! I could barely taste the shake, or anything else afterwards. I think I will be feeling the side effects tonight from this.

Giving it 5 stars for exceeding my heat expectations from the slider, and the friendly service at the counter. Next time, will probably just do hot spice level and not torture my mouth and stomach...

I was excited to try this spot after reading the reviews and my experience was mostly disappointing. Ask yourself, would you pay $15-$20 per person for bland over-priced chicken, poor service and the uncomfortable indoor environment

Long version: We arrived on a Sunday around 2 pm, ordered two #3s (slider & tender with fries), one regular soda, one small soda, and a mac and cheese. We were never given our drink cups after ordering which is unusual for a fast food type of place so I ended up having to ask for them after some time passed waiting for food. It took about 20 minutes total for the food to be ready. The place gets crowded because indoor seating is limited but we got lucky. Outdoor seating is available too but just hope it doesn't rain. We sat down to eat and noticed they forgot the Mac and cheese. I have to go back up to the counter to ask for it but when I sat back down I realized they didn't give any utensils. The service is laughable especially when you consider they ask you to tip at the order counter. Now for the food, it was hot as in temperature hot but I barely felt the heat from the medium spicy level. The taste of the chicken was nothing to write home about. I did like the fries, they were nicely seasoned and had a perfect crisp to them. Other thing about the place is that it gets hot inside. Maybe it's better to order takeout, just make sure to check your bag to see if...

This is the best chicken sandwich you will ever eat in your life. I will die on this hill. The search is over. Walk into this specific Dave’s hot chicken and you will be greeted by an enormous mural on the wall and when you get to the register ask the kind staff for two MEDIUM sliders and they will bring you the greatest sandwich this planet has ever seen. Let’s start from the top. The buns. They’re sweet and fluffy, they have the perfect give to them and they never fail or get soggy. The pickles; perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The coleslaw; not a fan of coleslaw but this one is out of this world especially when paired with the MEDIUM heat. The rub; I don’t know what they season this chicken with but it is absolutely delicious. They pull out all the stops when they’re flavoring these. The chicken; oh my GOD it’s perfect every time. The crispiness, the seasoning, the tenderness, the texture, EVERYTHING! And the sauce; their daves sauce has a very flavor no one else can grasp. It is beautifully orchestrated and spiced to perfection. Oh and the fries; no sure if you guys understand but nothing goes unnoticed here. They are so amazingly good. Crispy and seasoned with some of the best flavors you’ll ever experience. This is the one and only 10/10 I have ever given to a chicken sandwich and I’m certain it will remain as such. Great job...

This is a nice restaurant but I didn’t like the spice-drenched chicken. It is reddish dry spices - not the wet sauce you get with Zingers. I ordered it “hot” since that’s 3/5 on their hotness scale. However, this was too spicy for me and I wasn’t able to finish the chicken. The chicken itself is of good quality and looked fresh (was shiny white inside). The menu is basically one item: the chicken either served on a square piece of sliced bread, or in a sandwich (called slider). Slices of pickles and fries were included. So was a cold sauce that tasted good good. The restaurant has a small number of tables, but they were kept clean with a staff member wiping the tables after each customer. The bathrooms were a little different as both are available to both men and women. If you pay with a credit card, the tablet will default to 15% tip! I really don’t understand why would they expect the customer to tip at a fast food / self service restaurant where you order at the counter, pick up your food, fill up your drink, and throw trash out when done! Oh and the meal cost $14, so you’d think they can pay their cashiers enough so they don’t need to get tips for taking your order! While I was not a fan of this food, others seem to like it as there was a decent crowd at the restaurant.
