It was one of those late nights when the craving for pizza strikes with no warning. After a long, exhausting day, I decided to grab a quick dinner at the local Dominoâs. The small storefront, familiar with its red-and-white sign, promised me a hot meal and a bit of comfort. What I didnât expect, however, was the encounter I was about to have with Shelby, the general manager. I walked in and approached the counter, greeted by a young employee who was trying his best to juggle the phone and a busy register. It took a few moments for him to acknowledge me, but when he did, I smiled and placed my order: a simple medium pizza with extra cheese. No big deal. It wasnât until I heard the voice behind me that I realized something was off. Shelby stood with her arms crossed at the back of the store, watching me. She didn't offer a greeting, and her expression seemed more annoyed than welcoming. As the employee rang up my order, Shelby started making sharp comments about the pace of the shift. âWeâre really slammed tonight,â she muttered to no one in particular, her voice edged with frustration. I brushed it off, figuring it was just a stressful night for the staff. But things quickly took a turn for the worse when I asked for a small change to my order â a simple request to add mushrooms. Shelbyâs eyes narrowed. âThatâll take longer,â she said, sounding irritated. âYou shouldâve thought of that before.â I tried to explain that I just wanted to make a small adjustment, but she wasnât hearing it. Her response was curt, almost dismissive: âWe donât have time for your âsmall adjustments.â Itâs a busy night, alright?â I was taken aback. Sure, I understood that it was a busy night, but this wasnât exactly the level of customer service I had come to expect from a manager. I thought about asking to speak to someone else, but it felt like it would only make things worse. Instead, I paid for the pizza, now feeling a little less excited about my meal. As I waited for my pizza, Shelby continued her tirade, this time in front of her staff. She was louder now, complaining about everything from the ovenâs temperature to the quality of the dough. At one point, she even yelled at an employee for not "slicing the pizza correctly," as if the whole world were watching and judging her every move. It felt more like a performance than a manager doing her job. Finally, the pizza was ready. I walked up to the counter, a little hesitant. Shelby handed it to me without saying a word, and I muttered a half-hearted âthanksâ before making my exit. When I finally got home and opened the box, the pizza was barely warm, and it had the wrong toppings â not just missing the mushrooms, but also a few other mistakes I didnât order. It wasnât the end of the world, but the whole experience left a sour taste. I guess sometimes, the stress of a busy night can bring out the worst in people. But itâs hard to forget the way Shelbyâs attitude made what shouldâve been a simple, pleasant experience turn into one Iâd...
Read moreThe store was clean. The staff were kind. The food.was on point and made quickly. This store manager and staff were great! Not only can the Hernando Domino's learn from this store. But a few other restaurants could to. Alot of places severely lack customer service, and even common courtesy. I was severely mistreated by another company. Made an online order to the Hernando location. 5 minutes from arriving to pick up my order the store called and canceled my order. I scrambled to reorder the same order to this location thought everything went fine the app went to the tracker and looked great. Upon arriving the app showed the order went to the original location. The counter staff went to get the manager. She came quickly my aid. She placed the order herself and gave me the online deal and an additional discount for the inconvenience from the app and the other store. She was kind and understanding. And even seemed to treat her staff the same as she treated me. Managers are supposed to be leaders and set examples for the staff. And this kind lady did just that. I will prefer to use this location over the others due to the higher quality of both service and...
