Hawaiian Poke — Restaurant in Boardman

Haole Poke Salad, she no go! Not Hawaiian not ONO.

Okay I really wanted to like this place and we have been waiting to try this place. I heard the "Hawaiian" poke bowl was good with all the hype! But here's what my thoughts are on this. I am Hawaiian born and raised in Hawaii so expectation little bit different. One word for me,,, trash! I feel bad but that's the truth and if you Hawaiian this is farrrrrrr from ONO. The poke bowl me and my daughter ordered tasted like chemicals, the salmon was turning and we couldn't pin point what the taste was in the bowl, was little bit scary. After we had some of that we ate our Ramen we got to split and then I knew what the taste was,, it was the taste of old green onions permeating both our dishes. My husband ordered his Ramen with shrimp so after they brought out his Ramen the cook just threw some cold shrimp from the bar inside his soup 😳. Sorry guys no Hawaiian poke insight at this joint, this is the same as any poke wannabe place on the mainland. Not good 👍 make me sick to my stomach. Number 2 worst place I have eaten in Ohio, Skyline chili is the first! Best thing on the menu was the Brisk iced tea to help wash the chemical tart out...

This place was awesome. Clean, friendly staff, quick prep, and big selections. I’ve had poke in just about every state and a couple other continents— this holds up to some of the best I’ve had! I built my own with spicy salmon + eel. Good servings, lots of toppings, everything was fresh and delicious. Couldn’t have been better for me. I’ll definitely be back. The only constructive thing I’d have to say is maybe change up your chicken! Something like katsu would be so good. Just my opinion. I often have choosy eaters with me and I don’t think they could even find the chicken accessible lol. Anyway thanks so much! I’m excited this place...

Absolutely delicious! Clean and beautiful food, this gives me a low carb sushi fix option and I am telling everyone that I know about this place! I had to check out the bad reviews to see what they had to say. 1st is a person complaining about the consistency of the meat 🙄 and then recommends a competitor, sounds suspicious af to me, I personally would never listen to the opinion of such a off-putting person. 2nd bad reviews is a person who gave one star because of the name and they don't even understand the definition of poke... so... yeah, definitely give this place a try, you won't regret it and like me you'll have a new...
