Being honest, I was actually torn on whether to give 4 stars because it was a good experience overall, but not without some disappointments. Went with 4 people in our family on a Thursday around lunchtime. We only got burgers, but they were very good (They also had what seemed like a decent beer menu for those craving a drink with their meal, although they didn’t carry any stouts). I would’ve happily have ordered some smoked meat despite the prices, but the ‘family’ meals were $70 - $120 and the $120 option only had 3 servings. That was a serious disappointment. They should just call it an ‘only child meal’. To add to the ‘family’ portions issue, there was only chicken and pork on the smoked meats and family menu, NO BEEF. I just couldn’t bring myself to pay that much for chicken or pork that wouldn’t even give portions for 4 people, so burgers it was for our meat fix. The burgers ($16 - $20) were decent sized, included seasoned fries and cooked exactly as ordered. The kids meal ($7) had regular fries. Both types of fries were good. I substituted for sweet potato fries, which were excellent. Drinks were not included in the meals and started at $4 for fountain drinks. It wasn’t too busy during our visit and service was fast and friendly. The kids enjoyed drawing on the paper tablecloth while waiting for meals. Larger families and groups should keep in mind that their menu states that they automatically add 18% as a so called ‘gratuity’ for parties of 6 or more (I know this is ‘normalized’ and I have no problem tipping, but let’s be honest: When it’s automatically added, it’s no longer a ‘gratuity’, it is an added fee). The location is a bit East from the strip/‘tourist district’, but not too far. There was a Groupon available that helped cut our cost some. Because of the quality of food and service I really wanted to rate this place higher than I did, but I had to consider the disappointments. I’d definitely consider returning next time I’m in town just for the burgers, but really hope they change the ‘family meals’ to actually feed families and add some real meat (beef) to the...
Read moreI checked out where a great BBQ place near our timeshare (Carriage House) was on Yelp. There are several but I choose Smoke & Fire because my brother-in-law from Texas loves his burgers. Voted best burgers in Las Vegas I had to try and see if Mark (brother-in-law) loved their burgers. We arrived and the atmosphere is great gives you that relaxing feeling and with several TV's to watch any sport your heart desires. Jamie was our waitress she was great gave us some information on the dishes we were about to eat. She was outstanding with her customer hospitality was on point. My brother-in-law had their cheeseburger with fries, my wife had their pull-pork sandwich with fries and I had their brisket meal with baked beans and coleslaw. Our drinks were water along with Mark having a Pepsi, my wife Dawn Cabernet Sauvignon and I had their Bloody Mary. Our drinks were great, if it wasn't we had somewhere else to go we would have stayed and watch their Las Vegas Knights and our Los Angeles Kings (we are from California). After our late lunch/early dinner we decided to have dessert, OMG, their chocolate chip cookie with ice cream, according to my brother-in-law it was the best dessert he's ever had. My wife and I shared the churro with ice cream, that too was very delicious. Thank you Jamie making our visit a great one and your food is outstanding, we will be back for more items on your menu. If you haven't stopped by I suggest you give them a try, you won't be...
Read moreFirst off I want to thank Brittany (hope I spelled it right) and Jordan who went above and beyond to help me in a pinch, and of course the rest of the staff behind the scenes!
I’m not the one who orders weekly for a group of people of usually 10-15 people, and today they wanted BBQ. I had found out that the person ordering thought a Dickey’s BBQ on Rainbow was who she’s calling but apparently that location is CLOSED, and of course they answered the phone but never mentioned that the other store was closed (they were at there North Main St. location) so the person who order the food from Dickey’s BBQ was wondering where her food was which was supposed to arrive by 11:15 am for a group of hungry people that had requested BBQ today, her not knowing who to call now for last minute order of BBQ, so I mentioned I’ve been to this place called SMOKE & FIRE and it’s fairly close.
I called them up and initially spoke to Brittany and ask if she could help us since the original place she order from Doordash had canceled her order and SMOKE & FIRE stepped up to the plate and said we have everything she has requested, and said they would have it ready in 30 minutes, I made the initial call at 11:37 and was back at the office by 12:17! Could not have asked for a phenomenal experience from a local BBQ establishment at Russell & Pecos, seriously take the whole family because the food is great the sevice is second to none and the people in the back...
