Soru Ramen Sushi and Boba Milk Tea — Restaurant in Summerlin South

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - we ordered a Tonkotsu Black Garlic Ramen with Oh My God spice level and a Tonkotsu Ramen with So-So spice on the side. The broth seemed a bit watery in taste/flavor since it doesn't have the typical richness that accompanies a pork bone broth. The pork chashu didn't seem to be marinated as it was quite bland and it wasn't roasted as it was quite chewy with huge chunks of fat. The dishes leaned on the side of sweet which is odd since we were expecting savory overall. The OMG spice was fun and had a bit of mala that left a tingly feel in the mouth. The noodles were decent though!

Service: 5/5 - friendly overall but may have a slight language barrier.

Ambiance: 3/5 - the store is cute as you walked in since there are anime decorations everywhere. However, as we sat and observed more, the furniture and the decorations make the restaurant feel worn and the black walls add a gloominess to it. The tables were sticky and quite low so we had to hunch over to eat. There's only one speaker that crackles and it is right next to the bar seating so it can get quite loud if you sit at the counter!

Value for price: 3/5 - we were surprised with a $0.85 charge on the OMG spice level. While I understand that many places include a charge for this, it wasn't listed on the menu and their reasoning is that their online menu lists it. We really wanted to like this place but the broth was...

Acceptable, didn't love it, didn't hate it.

Every other ramen place I been to, someone would least ask if everything was okay. It was but at least pretend to care about the patrons even if it is a laid back atmosphere.

People are not wrong, it is very anime style, don't get me wrong, I like Pikachu chilling next to godzilla. The aggretsuko poster was a nice touch next to the ghibli ones, but yes one piece is everywhere.

On to the food, tiger roll was nothing special, pretty bland. The spicy tuna looked poorly sliced on top of our rolls.

My veggie miso was pretty good though, the tofu wasn't great, still cold within the broth, didn't absorb the flavors like I have at other places. Broth wasn't bad, wasn't salty which is good because otherwise I would have started getting a headache.

Veggie rolls, lol. Could have gotten in a frozen foods section.

Yes, water cups in red solo cups, which I find hilarious but whatever, it's that kind of ambience. The cushion seats could use replacing with all the rips and tears.

Also, the guy that was there that night never brought my Thai tea from the check in option on the yelp app. Bummer.

Oh well, gave this place a shot, because we didn't feel like driving down to spring mountain for usual hang out. Just a one...

I’ve now given this place 3 tries and every time it’s been awful. Especially when I get the food delivered the quality is far worse than the one time I dined inside. Everything I’ve had is subpar, I hate to speak negatively but I’ve wasted so much money here on not great food. Had ramen the first time, bland. I forget what I even ordered last time for delivery which says something, not memorable. This time I got the shrimp fried rice…it’s just rice shrimp and corn??? Weird and also bland. I also got the crab Rangoon’s and they are somehow bland as well but by far the worst part of my order is the “Thai tea”….idk how you mess up Thai tea but this is awful it’s not even the right color, so watered down and the boba is crumbling and nasty. Can’t believe I was charged $7 for such an horrible drink…never eating here again. Gave them 3 chances and was let down each time. I’m still kinda upset I spent $50 on my dinner tonight and nothing was good with how much it cost 🥲 so disappointed...
