Southern Style Lounge and Bistro — Restaurant in Mountain Park

After countless nights of debating to order through Postmates I finally did. Unfortunately I didnt get to experience their customer service so will strictly be commenting on the food I had. I ordered a chicken platter with fried okra and fries. The fries were crinkle fries and needed ALOT more seasoning. I could BARELY taste any seasoning despite seeing the seasoning on the fries. Also, the fries were incredibly dark so the grease might need to be changed. Lastly on the fries: they were soft as had no feeling of ever being crispy but that may have been from the condensation in the box.The chicken fingers were a good size, a little big actually. There were four and the breading was similar to that of KFC (from what I can recall). It was similar in appearance to KFC anyways and the breading was crispy but some parts were soft/soggy from being in the to-go container. The fried okra was pretty good was definitely too much salt. I tried making it less salty with the sweetness of ketchup but it didnt help. My family came in from New Jersey and wanted some good BBQ. This restaurant was recommended by several people so we drove from Lawrenceville to try it. Online said it didn’t close until 12am so we were happy especially since it was a lounge also! Called to make reservations, NO ANSWER! Called all three numbers from website. We pulled up to the restaurant around 5:30-5:45pm (a whole six hours until it was supposed to close) and was told that the restaurant was closed! We were told by whomever was locking the door that their business partner had an emergency and couldn’t come in and they wasn’t staying all night until closing. WOW!! What’s the point of having employees?? How can you want your business to be successful and for people to return when you can’t even stay open until closing?? Holy-moly... The food was so good! I was craving comfort food, Boston Market was closed & Im so glad about it! The 1st thing I'll say is that this place had 0 atmosphere & there was little customer service (just 3 guys sitting at the bar, seemed a little shady, actually), but I saw the food reviews were so good I gave it a chance. I got the dark chicken with 2 sides (I got collards & sweet potatoes) then I added mac & cheese, I ended up getting a strawberry cupcake too. The plate with the sides was $14, which I thought was so reasonable, for the amount of food I got. Everything was so delicious... I don't know if they smoke the chicken, but it was fall off the bone.
