Where do I begin? I came here randomly one day after having a craving for some Haitian food. Being from Miami my experience with Haitian food in Orlando has been very disappointing. But still I decided to give this place a chance.
The gps took me in front of a gas station. I thought I had gotten lost but as soon as I rolled my window down a delicious, intoxicating smell greeted me.
I walked into the gas station and as soon as I entered the familiar aroma of amazing HAITIAN cuisine gave me a warm embrace.
I was greeted by a man who was very friendly and eager to answer all my questions. I decided to get the legume, white rice and sous pwa lunch plate. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes and I was so excited!
As I place the bag of food on my passenger seat I already knew this food wasn’t going to make it to my house. I tried to resist temptation and wait until I got home but my stomach won that battle.
I tore open the bag like a wild animal and began to eat like I’ve never eaten before right there in the parking lot. Thank God for tinted windows!
The food was magical. With every bite I was transported back home in my mother’s kitchen surrounded by family and Kompa music playing in the background. The legume had the perfect amount of seasoning! It had a nice subtle kick that kept me coming back for more!
The sous pwa had a wonderful taste and when combined with the legume it was like a beautiful duet. I never felt this kind of love for food in my life! I felt like I was cheating on my mother’s cooking now I see why they call this place Ti Randevou.
I couldn’t finish my food because the portions are very hardy. So thankfully I had leftovers to eat for dinner so that legume and I could have our...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Ti Randevou in the Orlando Lancaster district, I was transported to the lively heart of Haitian cuisine where warmth, flavor, and authenticity come together beautifully. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between casual and vibrant, with friendly staff who truly care about your experience.
But let’s talk about what really makes this spot shine: the food especially the bouillon. This traditional Haitian soup is no easy feat to master, yet Ti Randevou delivers it with absolute perfection. The broth is deep and complex, clearly simmered for hours to extract every ounce of flavor. Each spoonful is rich with savory meats, perfectly cooked root vegetables, and fresh leafy greens, all harmonizing in a balance of spices that’s comforting and deeply satisfying. It’s the kind of soup that wraps around you like a warm hug just like something you’d expect from a Haitian grandmother’s kitchen.
Every bite tells a story of heritage and passion. Portions are generous, presentation is thoughtful, and the staff goes above and beyond explaining each dish with pride and making you feel welcomed like family.
If you’re in Orlando’s Lancaster area and craving authentic Haitian cuisine, do yourself a favor: head to Ti Randevou and order the bouillon. It’s not just a meal it’s a soulful, unforgettable experience that earns every one of its five stars. I can’t...
