After leaving a McDonald's that was so severely under staffed off of New Braunfels, they didn't even open their doors to customers. So we drove here to the FM 78 location - BIG mistake. It was past 6am, almost 6:20 & still doors were locked with a couple of employees walking back & fourth even glancing at my son & I standing at the door as we knocked. One female employee looks at us & walks away. It's drizzling rain by this time & an employee walks up the sidewalk apparently coming to work & he literally bangs loudly on the door a couple of times & finally the same female employee comes & unlocks the door as it begins to downpour rain on us all. The female employee only allows the employee to come in & leaves my son & I standing in the rain with neither giving an explanation why we weren't allowed into the dining area as she locks the door & doesn't even give us a second look back. Thirty to sixty seconds later she leans around the counter signaling with her hand moving back & fourth under her chin wording "no open". Really!? We had to go through all of this for you to say your NOT open!??? We get into our vehicle to notice their drive thru appears to be operational, so we pull up to place our order only to be met by limited menu options. By this time, I'm feeling like how is it possible to drive to not one but TWO different McDonalds where both establishements are experiencing the same, exact problem!??? What are the odds? Staff apologetic - absolutely not. Shotty service at best, even after questioning about my son & I waiting in rain for doors to open - employee speechless & not remotely apologetic. Just a deer in the headlights look is what I got. No egg white delight, no Big Breakfast that my son asked for. Unbelievable & unacceptable- period. Both mangers at both of these locations should've done their damn best to make service happen, and help take orders & serve them - no matter what. No manager should ever think anything less. They get paid for that. Obviously, management was either neglectful or poorly trained or not trained at all. It shows very poor leadership by leaving your employees to deal with the mess and deal with complaints & reviewed like this one. McDonalds makes billions of dollars but has occurrences like this??? Epic failure. This is a great example for any business college course on poor operations, logistics & management....
Read moreI am extremely disappointed in the service & lack of professionalism from the manager, Derrell. This young man is rude & has no patience with his employees or customers. I walked in the resturaunt hoping to get my granddaughter a free Happy Meal with my reward points. I’ve done this several times at different McDonald’s…including this McDonald’s. Derrell told me I couldn’t get a free “cheeseburger” Happy Meal using my points, only a regular burger. I told him I had received one several times & he replied, “Not this McDonald’s or any will give out a free “cheeseburger” Happy Meal”. After several minutes of back & forth nonsence, I just asked to give me a regular burger Happy Meal. Later, a customer witnessed Derrell removing burgers from a returned bag & placing them in a bag intended for her. She immediately told him she saw the incendent & wanted him to just give her fresh burgers & fries. He started arguing that she was mistaken & that he didn’t do what she accused him of. She asked if they could just press on & let the subject go. Instead, he continued to argue & refused let it go. Shockingly, he kept returning to the front counter to argue his point….now that was ridiculos! She had to tell him to let it go, cook the fresh burgers, & just please move pass the subject. I’m a 65 year old woman (retired USAF) & have never seen a manager conduct business in this...
Read moreOn 5/19/24, I stopped to pick up a late lunch. I used the drive up and had to compete with the other person they were talking to in the background. I pulled up to pay and again, they were busy talking to a co-worker about some other person. I was given my receipt and card and they shut the window. I pulled up to get my order and was asked to park in one of the waiting slots which were all full. All cars were being routed to these parking slots to wait for their food. I found this odd a almost 2 in the afternoon. Finally the guy brought out my food and walked away. I had contact with 3 different employees and not one of them had the decency to say "Thank You!". When I got home and sat down to eat, I discovered that I only got about a half and order of fries and I only got one pickle and one little piece of onion on my sandwich. I thought that quarter pounders required extra time because they are cooked to order. This QP was definitely not fresh. It burger was dry and the bun was soggy. I sent my concerns to the email address on the receipt, saying the same as above. I never got a reply, let alone an apology. It is sad that management doesn't care enough to make things right. I will go to a different McDonald's next time I...
