D. W. Rutledge Stadium — Attraction in Converse

This was my 1st time coming here for my son's class of 2021 graduation. 🎉 It is a very spacious stadium. They were done just in time, before the storm hit. I don't know how usually this place is run so I can't comment on that. But I will say they didn't have the whole seating and security down inside. I say this because parents ran down as the cold air blew through and the wind started howling and the storm was brewing. Parents were literally fighting over the fact they couldn't see and other parents were telling ppl what to do. And security was no where to be found. Smh...other than that It was a very...

Went to watch a track meet and instead got to see three school police stand and talk for the first part of the meet. We couldn't see part of the event because they made a blockade with their bodies. I have a fear of heights and don't like to go to the top of the stands but that's the only place you can see over them. They actually told one person to not lean on the railing and than they were leaning on it while talking and didn't tell any one else to move. It's a great complex, but during the day, before noon, the home side bakes until noon, then the shade helps out the home side, the visitors side ROASTS until 7 or 8 PM.

UPDATE INCREASED SECURITY You're now funneled into just the main entrances. This is good in general, but man is it a PAIN forarching band competitions. Arrive early for Rocket review, UIL, Or USBands toake sure you understand the new Layout and restrictions so you can plan...
