Went here for the very first time on Thursday February 13th 2025 for our last night in conway's dinner with my parents and aunt. First we found a parking spot outside, where nearby there was a free parking lot to use. We walked in, and was told to sit anywhere. And it was quite busy in the restaurant, which it is nice to see a bar busy. We sat down, and the waitress immediately greeted us. She started us with waters, and then let us decide and look over the menu. They have some salads, burgers, sandwiches, beer, cocktails and more! For appetizers, we had Pretzel Bites, and Nachos. The nacho's are a little small, but still was delicious. The Pretzel Bites were also good too. We then ordered our entrees, I had the philly with mac and cheese. Note: When compared to other places, at least the one other place i've been to, they have more side options like mac and cheese, pasta salad, house salad, caesar, fries, and more. My aunt had the caescar salad as her entree (a big one!), My mom had the grilled chicken sandwich, and my Dad got the fried chicken sandwich. All of the food came out in a timely manner. Waitress also checked on us to make sure that we were happy with our food, and we were! I definetely enjoyed my mac and cheese, and my philly sandwich! was offered dessert but, declined, as we were full. Got the check and paid with a credit card and left a cash tip. Will definetely come back to this place in the future!

Downtown bar and eatery with a hometown Coastal Carolina University theme. Thus the name. Reclaimed building offers the historical look of brick interior with typical oval bar ringed with flat screen TVs overhead claiming the main square footage. High tables and chairs on the main floor, raised platform seating and additional dining off to one side. A more complete bar menu with burgers, salads, sides, sandwiches, nachos and quesadillas, mac and cheese dishes, wings, seafood platter and craft beer. My evening entree was the Rivertown Mac Attack with cavatappi pasta, chunks of grilled chicken, crispy bacon smothered in a made from scratch sharp cheddar cheese mac sauce and drizzled with house made ranch. Temperature was lacking but flavor made up for it. The creamy, rich sauce complimented the pasta and the chicken, bacon topped it off. Atmosphere had a comfortable vibe amidst the noise and steady traffic on a busy weekday night. Madison was personable and friendly and we were glad that we came.

One star is one star too many for this establishment. We took our daughter, son-in-law, two-year-old grandson, and four-year-old granddaughter for lunch on Saturday, March 30th. The restaurant was very crowded, which was fine, however, the only seat available was a high top which is super challenging with little children (my granddaughter fell off the chair as we were worried would happen). We made it work and were waited on rather quickly. This is where it all went downhill. After getting drinks it was a long wait until our waitress reappeared. Seeing things were not moving quickly and knowing how impatient young children are, we put in our appetizer order and the children's lunch order. When the appetizers finally came out, the children's lunches were nowhere to be found. The waitress finally came to the table to bring the appetizers and said the kitchen forgot to put them in. I find this kind of difficult to believe and she had an electronic system rather than the traditional pad and paper. She took our lunch orders and we were not visited again for nearly 45 minutes. No apologies. No food. My son-in-law finally told the waitress to box up our food as we'd need to take it to go just and needed our bill as someone was bringing the food to the table. The waitress came back to bring the bill and told us that the manager (if there was one, we never saw that person) comped us 50% (we did not ask for this). The comped bill DID NOT make up for the utterly terrible experience we had. What made it worse is that my daughter is a server in a similar restaurant and told me that she'd never had such an awful dining experience. On top of all of it, the food was abysmal. The fried appetizers left us all feeling bloated and slightly ill. My husband's expensive seafood mac and cheese smelled bad, was tasteless, and the mac & cheese was watery. We will NEVER set foot in the Crafty Rooster...

Just moved here 9 weeks ago. Wanted to try some good pub food. Went here to try the place out. What we thought was a decent beginning ended up being a nightmare.

We ordered pretzel bites, pretty damn good. Ordered our main meal. Wife when eating mentioned something in the meal did not taste right. The waitress was very good by the way. When leaving the premises, within 5 minutes walking back to our vehicle, she started having massive pain in her stomach area and started to heave to vomit. On the way home (10 Minutes) she stated the pain was getting worse.

When getting home, she was in the bathroom for over 30 minutes (You can imagine what was happening).

While in the bathroom, I contact the Crafty Rooster. I asked for the manager. Waited over 6 minutes for her to get on the phone. When speaking to her, she had asked our info and what she had to eat? Never recommended going to a hospital or emergency room or care facility. She told me that she would contact the General Manager/Owner and we did NOT even receive a call back which tells me they “don’t” give a damn about their customers.

Good atmosphere, shitty food, and they could care less. Waitress was great (this was not her fault).

Would never recommend this place to anyone. Their so-called “hospitality” does not exist at this location. Even up North, where we moved from, would have handled this differently for sure.

Very disappointed and unsatisfied. i am sure my wife will post a 1 star review also.

Would not recommend this place at all!

You know what she “didn’t” say, NOT ONE WORD OF AN APOLOGY OR SQUS SHE WAS SORRY OR IF SHE WAS OK, BETTER, OR ALRIGHT.

Now for that reason alone, we will NEVER, EVER, visit this pub again. Are you serious? Never to say you’re sorry for this type of event happening presently??

I will NOT take the time to describe the rest of the...

Well, We really like the food and Beer options, this place is above average Bar food, fresh cut fries n chips, good wings n burgers. We stopped in during happy hour on Thursday night, there is drawings going on, and the prize was pretty big that night so it was packed. We understand that, found a hidden away area to stand, and a waitress actually served us drinks and did a great job taking care of us. we eventually got a table, and I ordered 10 wings. I have had them before and love the flavors there. Mine came out, and the 1st one I picked up was pretty rare, it tasted rare, and saw pink inside. I looked at sizing, sometimes a large one will get mixed in and not get cooked, no I had a average size. I tried another one and found the same, not as much pink, but skin had same raw taste. I asked our server to send back, which she did no problem. I understand there slammed, and trying to rush food out, this might happen. In no way am I upset over that, but the manager came over. She was asking what I wanted and said she could overcook the wings if I like. I responded that I would just like them cooked properly, she then shortly responded "well I looked at them and they looked fine to me!" then she informed me it would be 20 minutes before I would get them back. I saw food coming out quite faster than that before. She brought them back and the 2nd batch was OK, but she again never apologized, or offered any regret. To her, it was my fault. The poor waitress felt I was right and says there very upset when someone complains. I understand that we are all human, and sometimes things happen, but the attitude pissed me off. I hope a owner reviews this and looks into changes in their...
