This was my 1st visit. I dropped off my engagement ring & wedding band to get an appraisal for renters insurance. I also had other jewelry from my mom & grandmother. The woman that I met with ( from upstate NY) was very patient with me. She looked at jewelry to see what stones they were. I was pleasantly surprised by my grandmother's ring. In NY, someone told me not to wear it, diamonds were cracked, maybe loose too but not certain & if I were to reset ring, diamonds would crumble. This was not the case. This woman showed jeweler the ring, twice. He gave me an unofficial guess at it's worth & I took a chance & added it to others for appraisal. I'm glad I did. I found out the ring was worth over $1000.00 & stones weren't cracked, it was the type of stone cut. Granted the diamonds were fragile, I could certainly wear it for a special occasion. My wedding band went up in value much more than I imagined & my engagement ring as I had hoped, did to. Allison & Renee ( owner) spoke with me, explained appraisal. We went in with a multitude of requests. They assisted us with trying to figure out which rings belonged to which ancestor. They were very sympathetic about us trying to purchase a chain for my mom’s urn pendant. It was very emotional for me trying to determine what belonged to my mom, grandmother and great grandmother and then handing over my mom’s ashes for a new chain. Kaitlyn was so sweet and respectful of items that mean so much to me. Then, on a happy note she helped us design an engagement ring that we were trying to match to bands that we already had. She really went above and beyond to help us with everything we were trying to do, even the parts that paid them nothing! Great customer service to people who had never even been in to their business before. I found the jeweler i will be using here in SC. Now if only i could find a doctor here! Ann Booth jewelers is phenomenal! My first visit here was just after I lost, then found, the diamond from my engagement ring. The last thing I expected was to have the jeweler fix the prongs, clean the ring, and hand it back to me while I waited, refusing to accept payment. He is a saint.
