Anyone who leves a new review please state the name of your waiter. I have had all of them and they are all aces in my book curious to here what you all say. This place is fabulous and the staff is impeccable. I am an incoming senior in high school and have been going there to eat since before I was is grade School and it had always been my favorite place to go out and get breakfast or lunch. It is a child friendly setting provided that your children are well behaved. That being said my parents never had an issue with me or my brother who is two years younger than me going there even when we were little. I saw some negative comments about the sign that says to mute or turn your phone on vibrate upon entering. Frankly people should be doing that without being promoted and it is a sad statement on the lack on class society has in the modern world and not a bad statement on the restraunt which is trying to provide its guests with a more enjoyable dining experience by make ng it so you shouldn't have to listen to the obnoxious ring tone of the person's phone two tables over. The staff has always been amazingly friendly and done there job to an higher standard that most other restraints I have been to. over the years I have had everything on the menu and it is all top 1% quality food in it's respected category. The setting is quaint and classy with an very calming calming vibe. In summary, I would recommend this restraunt to anyone why is well manored and civilized. I can't say enough great things about it and am always looking forward to...
Read moreI'm only giving two stars here because the staff was very nice and the place was clean. If it wasn't for that I would've given a single star. I shall break this down for you. We had two meals and two coffees = $27.00 not inc. tip. Meal one - Huevos Rancheros: The eggs weren't quite cooked all the way. The handful of shred cheese wasn't even melted because the eggs weren't hot. There was literally a spoonful of canned refried beans that was cold and two tiny tortillas that were super dry and grainy. But, there was a HUGE portion of sour cream.. My guess to help you swallow the tortillas.
Meal two - Two eggs, bacon, toast & hashbrowns: The portions were very small. The eggs weren't even warm, neither were the potatoes. The toast was extremely dry and the slices were half the size of regular bread slices. And the bacon was super chewy with a real heavy fake hickory smoke flavor. I was burping that bad hickory flavor for the rest of the day. Not pleasant or fun.
The coffee was watery and flavorless, the creamer was bad. And it was $2.50 per cup. They aren't even big cups, just a small coffee cup.
Then to top it off the waitress kept coming over and reaching across my plate while I was in the middle of eating to take the empty creamer cups and then the sugars packets.
So yeah. Atmosphere was nice. Place was clean. But the food was subpar at best. My husband actually ended up being sick to his stomach by the time we got out to the car. Not worth the price or the stomach...
Read moreUnfortunately, I cannot recommend Priscilla's Country Kitchen. Upon entering, we noticed a sign on the door about switching your phone to vibrate in the restaurant. I thought that was odd, but not a dealbreaker for us to go there at all. The hostess, who may have been the owner, tensely greeted us and sat us down. She did not smile and make us feel welcome. When the waitress gave us the menus, I immediately noticed a rather large bold red area on the menu that stated that children are NOT to play with the sugar packets or the small cream containers, or their parents will be charged for any opened packets. Again, rather odd for a restaurant. I felt like I was in elementary school with a very strict teacher overseeing lunch period. The atmosphere was tense and quiet. Other customers were also speaking in hushed tones. Eventually our food came (it took a long time 15-20 minutes) for a place that was not very busy. The eggs were cold and the portion of hash browns was very small. Had I ordered a side of bacon, it would have cost an extra $6.95, so I did not. When we asked for jelly for the toast, the waitress brought over a tray of jelly packets and asked us which ONE we wanted. She seemed scared of incurring the wrath of the hostess/owner should she give out the jelly freely. Overall, the food was over-priced, cold and there was not enough of it. The atmosphere was tense and hushed. There are not a lot of sit-down restaurant choices nearby but we will not be returning to...
