So they claim they are increasing rates due to covid stayed here in the summer during the start of covid it was great got an awsome room good rate for two nights was around 500 $ the room was spacious with a loft amazing mountain view and everything was clean. Came here today in march almost 1 year later. Double the price for the room and we are only staying 1 night an paid 412$ the floors are flithy the room is half the size and crammed for almost the price of two nights with the view of the back parking lot. There is a large crack in the tile floor infront of the bathtub and toilet. The drain at the sink had visble tainted water residue built up on the faucet. Our pre registration was under the wrong last name due to staff placing our reservation in the system wrong it took 30 mins and two phone calls to clarify the pre registration being resent. The staff all times we have called down and asked for things or information regaurding amenities in the hotel or questions regaurding the hotels restraunts the staff we spoke to was either not sure when we called and deferred us to look online for their info or just blatantly stated no with no further help or advice to solve our problems. We orders 3 pizzas the buffalo chicken pizza appeared to be sitting out for quiet some time and did not look edible. Their was no TV remote in the room when we checked in. There were several grown men sitting in the lobby infront of the staffing desk with no masks on clearly wasted after a hotel hosted a wedding earlier today. The chairs at the water park were all filled with old dirty used wet towels previous familys left with no where to place your own towels or any where to sit and watch your children play. I honestly wont waste the 3 hour drive to this water park/hotel again. Advise you to contemplate if the stays...
Read moreMy family and I just got back from kahuna laguna today. We have a 6 year old and a 4 month year old. Overall kahuna laguna was a good time. The location of red jacket resort is amazing. It’s centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The view is gorgeous from the viewing room. Staff was friendly. It was a quick and easy process to check in and out. For New Hampshire there isn’t a lot to do during winter besides skiing so we enjoyed having a water park to go to for February vacation. The things I will point out that the hotel could work on is the overall cleanliness of the hotel room and water park. I saw bandaids on the ladders in the wave pool and the next day they were still there. It was gross, especially since they “close” the water park to clean between 10:30-11:30. Not sure how Thorough of a job they really do during that time but the details should be closer looked at. The hotel room wasn’t dirty from a cleaner. It was dirty because you can tell they don’t put a lot of money into upgrades. Example. Stains on sheets, walls needed repainting. Just overall working on making it more modern and new carpets. Another disappointing thing that happens is people leave there belongings on chairs that they aren’t even sitting at so once full there was no where to sit. Maybe have more lockers and Enforce no belongings left on chairs if you aren’t actually sitting there. Overall it was a good time and I do...
Read moreWe made a last second plan to visit based on a change of plans. I was very happy we went. The price was $40 per person to enter regardless if you swim or not. They had aged appropriate life jackets that were nice.
There is a dump bucket splash set with slides that my kids loved. The wave pool was a huge hit. We played some in the basketball area and my older kids used the three big water slides. My youngest two enjoyed the baby splash area too. It was an easy size Waterpark to manage if you had older children wanting to do something different than the younger kids.
The water had a lot of chlorine and my oldest struggled with his eyes becoming uncomfortable from it. We had to buy him googles so he could continue to play.
The area overall was very clean. The staff was friendly and available. I noticed a few lifeguards watching over the areas. There were plenty of clean towels you could use. They also provided a locked for personal items. I was thankful for the large family bathroom as it made it easier with little children.
We had lunch there and the pizza was some of the best pizza I'd ever had. The fountain soda was a little underwhelming as it didn't taste like normal fountain soda would. I would buy lunch there again.
Overall, it was a fun experience. I will be returning and recommend it. I do wish they offered memberships for more than a month long. But it's a fun place to spend the day with...
