I want to start by saying that the people are really lovely and the final products are good. But MAN....their website sets expectations that they can't deliver and that makes the experience of ordering bread as a gift a major headache.
They have a list of close to 20 (possibly more with variants) breads on their menu, but only 3 or so you can order online. Ok fair enough, so I go in person to order 2 loaves of bread for a future date, possibly with a week's notice, and they only do 2-3 different types of loaves per day. I assumed that that was if you walked in the store, what to expect in rotation, but I figured that if you gave them a week's notice that they could bake any of the breads already on their menu. NO. In fact, one of the breads I wanted I couldn't get period unless it magically became the "manager special" that rotates every Saturday. I imagine that a few other types of bread on THEIR OWN MENU fall into this category.
Furthermore, you have to order 2 breads from the SAME 2-3 on a given day or else you'd have to come back twice to pick them up. Essentially I had to get a type of bread I didn't specifically want because it was one of the only other types of bread available on the same day as the one type of bread I did want. Even with a week's notice.
In short I would recommend this place if you are foot traffic looking for a snack or possibly a loaf of bread or dessert to stash for later, but I would not recommend this place if you are looking to order a bunch of specific things for people. Either that or have slightly different expectations than I did or what I believe the...
Read moreI am super picky about spending money on baked goods! THIS BAKERY IS AMAZING! What I love about their baked goods is that you immediately TASTE QUALITY INGREDIENTS! They do not skimp in any way, and they are committed to authentic bread baking ways! The presentation of each bread and scones, muffins, fruit squares, cinnamon rolls, cookies, etc. are par excellant! They simply CARE about what they offer. The Best Thing is that they do not over-sweeten things so that you can enjoy the flavors of their various baked treats. We got the cinnamon roll, perfect in texture and size, although I would use a tad less cinnamon to savor the doughy goodness! We got a Kahlua Ginger scone that was perfect! We got a blueberry scone that was delicious, we got the maple walnut mini scone which was super yummy and slightly sweeter because of the glaze! We got the blueberry raspberry Gluten Free muffins that were extraordinary for GF! And we got the blueberry muffin! My regret was not getting two of everything! These baked goods are so pleasant in size and easy in digestion with such great flavor that I could have had two of each item without digestive regret! But that is to say the sizing is PERFECT, even for sharing! This Little Bakery is committed to quality which means that they bake what they can give with excellence and they sell out of things quickly on these busy summer days! Also, their menu changes day to day, so you may go on a day a certain item is not offered, but no worries, whatever you substitute will be DELICIOUS anyway! Just get...
Read moreThis was our first visit to this bakery, and they did not disappoint. The entrance space is very small, however, allows for up close and personal contact with the bakers and their staff. As you walk in the blissful aromas of fresh baked breads and pastries, welcomes you. 👃🏻🍩🥐 All the staff are friendly helpful, and I highly recommend asking what they recommend off of their menu. Sometimes they have specials that they may not have displayed.
We bought the savory egg and cheese croissant, and that did not disappoint. We also decided to buy a slice of their coffee cake and we had that the next day. It’s just as good as it was freshly baked.
We highly recommend this hidden gem. We ended up taking our egg and cheese croissants over to the scenic view area in Intervale New Hampshire. It was a great way to start our day on vacation.
We will be coming back soon and we are looking forward to...
