Went there at 430pm on a Sunday at the suggestion of a local shop owner who said they had best food around. I will say that nothing was horrible but nothing stood out either. Everything was mediocre at best. The service was great and the inside was kinda cool and nostalgic with the ice cream counter. Tables were clean as well as the condiment jars at the tables so staff did due diligence in cleaning up after each customer. The clam chowder was too watered down and lacked any real taste. Very few clams or potatoes- by far the worst dish we ordered. Second to last was the Caesar salad with cup of lobster bisque. Salad was wilted and drenched in way too much dressing. The bisque was decent enough,no real complaints on that. Ordered a steak and cheese sub which comes with fries. The steak was dried out and the fries were a tad soggy. They tasted ok so the oil wasn't burned but it was like they cook the fries in batches and keep them warm under light. Not a good practice. I had the pot stickers as an App which were very good. Comes with a nice hoisin dipping sauce. For main course I had the Big Bowl Pad Thai which includes chicken and Shrimp. The chicken was overcooked but shrimp, veggies, and noodles were good and the sauce was tasty and not too salty. I washed it down with a Craft Brown Ale followed by a House Margarita. Yea,I get thirsty! For what we ordered everything was reasonably priced but their Sirloin Steak and Prime Rib were in $30 range so glad we stayed away from that. Upstairs has a nice view of the mountains. I question how much of their menu is homemade vs. pre made. Take that into consideration when ordering...

Our party of 6 arrived and were given a 20-25 minute wait. No waiting inside the establishment however they give you a standard hand-held notification device. You can visit and walk the shops on either side of the restaurant while you wait. Once seated our waiter was awesome. He was thorough, extremely efficient and didn't let anything phase him. Made his away around the room with ease and knew his menu. We had a few food allergies to be aware of and he took time with each of the individuals to talk about what they needed and any concerns on food/menu items. If you have a gluten allergy, they have gluten free buns for sandwiches, can leave croutons out on salad, etc. Just not a separate menu or marking on the current menu to delineate the choices. Shell fish allergies, no worries, they can accommodate. We ordered burgers, salad, Pad Thai and their vegetable primavera is amazing. Ingredients were fresh, everything hot when it came out and the place was clean, no dirty tables about. We love coming here when we are in the area.

Went to New Hampshire for the weekend and wanted to try a new restaurant. We went to Horsefeathers as it was in the area we were staying in. Cute little shopping and restaurant area right across from the scenic railroad. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived but were seated promptly. The waiter and waitress came over shortly after arriving and took our drink order. We order water and a red wine. For our meal, we chose a soup and roast beef sandwich and an order of their chicken quesadillas. The waiter was training but was very attentive and polite along with the trainer waitress. We were seated next to a large party with young children, so It was a bit noisy being in close proximity. They had tvs and a bar area as well and a good size dining area with different style tables depending on your party size. The food was really good and the service was equally as good. Did not stay for any length of time to relax and enjoy due to the noise.

We went there mid week for lunch. We were told by the hostess that it was a 45 minute wait for a table -fine. We were seating just about at 45 minutes. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes, before the clearly flustered waitress came over and apologized saying that she'd be with us soon but had to run off. It was clear that the restaurant was understaffed. They were only seating a few tables and from what we could see our poor waitress was the only one. After another 10 minutes she came back, apologized again but took our entire order. We ordered a few apps and a lunch dish each. Three of us ordered specialty martinis. After finishing taking the order the waitress informed us that she would be back soon but that she did not have a bartender either so she had to make all the drinks. The poor thing was so over worked and not getting any help. The lack of help from the hostess was disgusting. All she did was stand at the front and tell people how long it was. She never cleared a table or helped run food. It was embarrassing and we felt bad for the waitress. Our appetizers came out in a decent amount of time, drinks were okay but missing the sugared rims advertised but I was not about to add to the poor waitresses workload. We all also had waters and she kept them full which is a plus on a hot day. After finishing our apps, we waited over 40 minutes for our lunches, simply too long. The waitress apologized to us twice, blaming the kitchen. Fine, we get it, it's hard to find help right now in the pandemic. However, we were sat at 1:15pm for lunch and it was now 3pm. When our lunches finally came we asked for the check, wanting to eat and run. The food is mediocre standard fare. We gave our poor waitress a huge tip, she was working so hard with all the tables in the place, an overworked kitchen and a hostess who never helped her. I hope that she does not have to share her tips with her! I've seen this hostess here before for years so I know she's either management or owner and she should be ashamed. Overall, we asked for a table at 12:30pm, sat at 1:15pm and didn't eat until 3pm and left at 3:30pm. 3 hours for a mediocre lunch is awful. The hostess should be telling people that it's a 45 minute wait but then getting your meals will also...

Stopped in on a shopping trip with my mother. The Crunchy Panko Chicken Finger appetizer was pretty good and that's about where it ended. We both ordered the Beets and Goat Cheese Salad on the menu, which is described as "over fresh field greens and red onions with light sherry vinaigrette". Well, when we got our salads our "field greens" were a bed of iceberg lettuce with perhaps a few pieces of field greens here and there, but definitely 99% iceberg lettuce. Iceberg is of course a much cheaper ingredient with a very different flavor pallet to field greens. We thought we might have misread, but re-read the menu on our phones, and nope, definitely says field greens. Our waitress was nice enough, but pretty spacey and never really came to ask how our meal was. We just ate our diappointing salads because it wasn't the worst thing ever, but it certainly was not delicious.

Our waitress asked if we were ready for the check while waiting on the table next to us. We said yes and she said be right with you. She then served many other tables while forgetting and re-remembering we were ready for a check for the next 20-30 minutes. She finally put the check down so fast, we couldn't even tell her about our meals. We decided to mention the salads to the hostess on the way out the door. Her first words to my mom were, "Well, did you tell your waitress?" We explained the flightiness and lack of check for 20-30 minutes. We were informed "Well, 20-30 minutes waiting for a check is pretty good on a day like today. We're busy."

Yeah ... I don't think our feedback ever made it to the kitchen....
