Yes, the fish is smaller than it used to be but same goes for candy bars if you've ever noticed; in response to some complaints I just read. Do you notice you pay more for that same 1 pound of beef at the grocery than you did 2 to 4 years ago. I believe the pricing and meal size to be appropriate because of costs with product and needing to make profit and being affordable to the customer. This location has been my go to for well..... don't wanna age myself but let's just say over 20 years if not more. Portions in companion to sell price have been alright with me... my meals are always fresh, hot, and am provided excellent service by employees through drive thru and in store.
4 Stars rating ONLY: My only complaint is lobby usually has tables needing cleaning when I'm inside; however there's always a line out the door so that could be the issue with serving and cleaning with the amount of customer turn around. So.. rating should be 4.5
I suggest if you want to save a couple bucks, that you use their coupons. There is a set in the paper every weekend or found online. My go to dish is... The surf and turf meal.... actually a great deal as you wouldn't assume the steak from a fast food seafood place to be good but you'd be surprised at how tasty and succulent it really is... that's some added value that I like. Also, the ultimate seafood platter! Yum
Sorry for the novel here. I feel there's some defense that should be made on their behalf; yes they're are not always 100 percent perfection every single day; but as a lifetime customer of this location through the changes in menu items, remodels, inflation(cost of doing biz) and management.... theres always been consistency in the service from the staff and fresh food.
Also, to those complaining about long wait times.... would you just rather have had your food sit under a hot lamp just waiting for it to be ordered so you receive hour old food that's luke warm and chewy.... NO, I doubt you do!!!! They make it upon order the same as Zaxbys.. do you complain there, too?
Ps, I can afford to eat at the mediocre or upscale seafood establishments such as Red Lobster or Blue Point; but if I had to choose between Red Lobster and Captain Ds. I'm sure as hell going to Captain Ds. Ps, for the cheddar biscuit fans..the breadsticks really are good here.. btw!!
Thanks for being a hometown favorite here in Conyers and the staff has always been a great group of...
Read moreWhere do I begin. A simple stop after working out in the heat turned into complete chaos. We go through the drive thru line to order their special. The spicy fish and shrimp for 5.99. Below that it says or get it in the classic batter. We get to the window and my boyfriend said I’m sorry one of those is suppose to be the classic batter. The manager standing behind the other worker says no you can’t get classic batter it’s only the spicy. My boyfriend said no it says on the sign you can. He then says can I drive around and take a picture? Manager says suuurrrree go ahead I’m the one that put the sign up I know what it says. We drive around and indeed the sign says classic also. At this point she doesn’t want to swallow her pride and give me the classic. She said it would ring up $2 more than the spicy because that’s what the deal is for. My boyfriend says well can’t you ring up the spicy and give us the classic. She says I’m not messing my inventory up for no one! I said just forget it and let’s get the spicy. It was awful!! It was super greasy and neither of us liked it. So, then I’m like let me see if I order it online will it let me choose classic. Guess what? Online I can get the food I wanted for the same price. I ordered it and he went back to prove it to the manager to call her out on her rudeness. Well, now things escalated and he told my boyfriend he disrespected his boss in front of the white girl. How did I even get in this? I don’t like conflict and was ready for it to be over. They wouldn’t give us the online order food and would not give us our money back. Apparently they called the police after we left for I don’t know what? I talked to customer service and Jennifer said I would get a refund. I have not got a refund and all this could have been avoided if the manager would have given us what we asked for instead of being prideful. This place is not worth your time and the manager is not as kind if you are white or a black man with a white woman. Also, to edit my review that Captain D’s did not respond to my review but responded to...

Today I spent most of my time studying for my upcoming class for my masters degree so the wifey and I decided to order seafood (favorite food btw). We get the order and when my wife opens it I hear, “This is not what we Ordered!” So I put the pencil down and drive to Captain D’s with my receipt and the food.
I get there and I talk to a young man in a blue shirt with glasses (didn’t get his name) maybe a manager (who knows) and I say hey man, I think you guys messed up my order.
I hand him the receipt and he says what’s wrong. I say well where is the Seafood Deluxe Platter and cheesecake? And this man says, are you the person that order it? Yes. Well we can’t do anything with it because you touched it…
And I look at this man, in his face and say, How was I supposed to know the order was wrong, without opening it?
And he looked at me like what do you mean?
I say, well I mean I ordered the food in hopes of eating it so yeah I opened it. And he says it again
We can’t do anything for you because touched it, then he goes on about company policy and blah, blah and says you have to call DoorDash and talk to them.
Which I did, they gave me credit and whatever I’ll have the money back maybe Friday.
The problem is, they didn’t address the fact the that the order was prepared wrong in the first place. I was coming up there hoping you all would fix it and left hungry… GG
But here’s my question. If I ordered my food from your store, saw that the order was wrong, drove to your store with the receipt and food and showed it to you, even had you confirm that it was your store who made the order. And you told me I can’t do anything for you…
What would...
